Dear Amy,

Do you remember that I wrote this job wouldn't be very demanding? Forget it. I experienced the most exhausting hours of my life on the conference table with my boss. I was completely drained afterwards, worse than after a full day as a bike courier.

My boss seemed very pleased with my performance. He praised me for my extraordinary commitment and my outstanding qualities. As a reward, he gave me the rest of the day off.
