Bulletgirl

You skim the Book of Summoning, and visions of forgotten heroes and villains from the past flood your mind. These are the souls that remain in the Akashic Reservoir, the public domain of souls. You can feel their longing to be called back, to return to the world of the living, because they believe they have more to do.

"Who is she?" you ask the book, your gaze fixed on a beautiful superheroine with brown hair. She wears a bullet-shaped helmet, a red shirt, and yellow tights that leave her thighs and legs bare. Blue gloves, a blue belt, and blue boots complete her outfit.

"Bulletgirl," the book answers. "A superheroine who first appeared in 1940. Her real name is Susan Barr, born Susan Kent, and she was the daughter of Police Sergeant Kent. As an adult, she became romantically involved with inventor Jim Barr, who was also the costumed hero known as Bulletman. He used chemistry to develop powers for himself, greater muscle mass and brain power, using his 'crime cure' serum. He also invented a bullet-shaped Gravity Regulator Helmet, which allowed him to fly and deflect bullets. After Susan learned his identity, Jim created a second Gravity Regulator Helmet and gave it to her. She became his sidekick, Bulletgirl. Susan and Jim were soon married, and they shared many adventures together throughout the 1940s. Bulletgirl gained superhuman strength and intelligence after being injected with her husband’s serum. She also gained the ability to fly and deflect bullets while wearing her bullet-shaped helmet."

"Why does her soul want to be called back?" you ask.

The book replies, "It seems her husband, Bulletman, was protective of her. He always tried to keep her safe from the most dangerous missions, and she believes she never truly fulfilled her potential as a hero. She wants to live another life, one where she works solo, without her husband protecting her."

"All right," you nod, your decision made. Your eyes linger on Bulletgirl’s bare thighs, thick and athletic, exactly as you love. You call out to her, "Bulletgirl. Susan Kent-Barr. I call you back to the world of the living! I summon you!"
