"Pretty good!" said Futaba. "I still have a little social anxiety. Honestly, if it wasn't for all the work you guys did, and for Sumire being in my class...I think I would have melted on the spot."

"You've come so far," Makoto said, smiling warmly.

"Aaaand, I'm studying cognitive psience, like Mom," said Futaba. "Specifically hypnosis."

"Hypnosis, interesting," said Makoto.

"Yeah, I thought so," said Futaba. "Except I haven't tested it on anyone yet," she lied quickly. "I was hoping to test it on you. Nothing big," another lie. "Just to, you know, see if it works. But if you're meeting with Naoto I can wait until you're done."

"Talking to Naoto-san shouldn't take too long," Makoto said. "If you want to just hang out here until she comes, I can speak to her quickly and then you can hypnotize me. Always happy to help a friend."

Futaba had hoped Makoto would say that. Maybe she could grab Naoto as well...
