A new day starts

2nd of March

The morning light starts to hit your eyes, making them slowly open after a long, relaxing night. You look around and notice that it's around 10 A.M. It would be a rather normal morning if it weren't for the cute musu still sleeping on your chest.

Last night was incredible. The two of you poured into it all the feelings you had kept inside for years, making it a moment of pure relief.

It was also rather confusing, since a goddess appeared out of nowhere telling you that you're a hero and all that… but for now, you just need to clear your mind and enjoy the moment.

Midori starts to wake up as well and, with her eyes still fluttering, looks up at you.

"Good morning" you say to her as you caress her soft hair.

"Mmh.... good morning. I hope i didn't disturbed your sleep" she says with a gentle smile.

"You didn't, though it seems like you're still 'crushing' me first thing in the morning," you teasingly reply.

She giggles and crawls higher on you so that you can kiss.

"Well... since i'm already here, why don't i help you... 'wake up' " she giggles as her big breasts press on your chest.

"I would love tha—"

Before you can finish, the door suddenly opens.

"Hey Drake, they sent me to wake you up. Also, do you know where Midori is? She wasn't in the… guest… room."

It's Leaf. She doesn't realize the situation immediately, since she only looks directly at you after glancing around the hallway.

You both blush heavily as she stares at you with a blank expression.

"Well… I should have knocked. I guess you can take your time," she says before closing the door and walking away.

"That was... quite the way to let her find out" you say, scratching your head.

"Y-yeah… I guess we shouldn't make them wait for us," Midori says, still red as a tomato.

The two of you get up and put something on, with Midori borrowing some of your clothes since hers from last night are dirty. You head downstairs, where you see Delia, Venus, and Leaf sitting at your table eating breakfast, while Emma finishes preparing some tea in the kitchen.

"Eheh, good morning, my darlings," Venus says, giggling and giving you an amused look.

"Sorry, Drake, we borrowed your kitchen this morning," Delia adds.

"It's fine. Also, good morning, ladies," you reply before you and Midori sit at the table.

Soon after, Venus gets up and moves behind you, gently hugging both of you.

"So, my dears… you finally did it?" Venus whispers, making Midori blush even more.

"M-Mom!" Midori exclaims, embarrassed by her mother's bluntness.

"Oh, I'm so happy. My baby girl is finally an adult. And now Drake could really become my son, not that it would change much for me," Venus says cheerfully.

"Mom, stop it! You're so embarrassing sometimes," Midori complains, pouting.

"Oh, there's nothing to be embarrassed about, dear. It's only natural. When I was your age, I 'played' around quite a lot. It's good for you if you find a stable mate," Venus continues teasing.

"Yeah, mom, let's not get back to the fact that at least ten men in the area could be my dad," Midori replies.

"Nothing wrong with that, dear. It's just our nature. Back in your grandmother's time, we attracted cute guys with our scent and mated with them. Lovemaking is just normal for us. Am I right, little Emma?" Venus says.

Emma immediately hides behind the kitchen counter, trying to avoid being dragged into the conversation.

"My, young pokemusus these days are such puritans," Venus giggles before sitting back down.

Delia laughs quietly the whole time as Venus and Midori bicker, while Leaf looks mildly annoyed.

"It's good to see you're all so energetic even after yesterday, but we should stop playing around and talk about what happened," Delia says.

"Yeah, I have some important things to report, especially about last night," you say.

"Oh, I like where this is going," Venus giggles.

"Not that, mom!" Midori protests.

You spend the next thirty minutes eating breakfast while explaining to the others about Mew and most of what she told you, though you avoid the more… personal details about your power.

They are mostly speechless, but they know you're not lying.

"So let me get this straight: you were chosen by a legendary musu to help her regain her powers and possibly fight something that could endanger the region? That's kind of nuts," Leaf says.

"My boy is going to become a hero, I'm so proud," Venus adds happily.

"This is no laughing matter, Venus. I will probably have to bring this up at the next council meeting," Delia says.

The Council of Kanto is a political body made up of representatives from every major city in the region, including the Pallet area, and Delia is part of it.

"For now, I think you should rest and study your new power, Erik. I know you're strong, but if you end up in such a dangerous situation, I want you to be as prepared as possible," Delia continues.

"Don't worry, Delia. I'll be ready," you reply.

She notices your determined expression and nods.

"Very well. I suppose it's time for us to return to our duties," Delia says. She and Venus wave goodbye as they leave, while Leaf and Emma remain.

"I'll stay and help you. I must admit I'm extremely curious to see how your power works," Leaf says.

"Then let's go out back. We should have enough space to train," you reply.

You spend the rest of the day training with Leaf and Midori, and you manage to understand several things:

First, Midori's strength and abilities have slightly increased thanks to your bond growing stronger.

Second, when you use the Bulbasaur-based sword, you gain resistance to powders and poisons, just like a Bulbasaur.

Third, while fighting, you and Midori seem almost mentally linked, and your teamwork improves significantly.

To "improve your skills," you spend another night "training," unaware of what awaits you tomorrow...
