Padme at the Temple

Padme entered the Jedi Temple, she kept her mind calm and clear. Just focusing on the evidence and her worrying for Lux. The temple was mostly empty, which made it felt weird. She was hoping she would get one of the lower Masters. Getting one the older Master or worse Yoda, would put her plan into jeopardy. When she arrived at an office, she saw Master Luminara. The Mirialan Jedi was wearing her usual black robes.

"Master Unduli, I need to discuss something with you." Said Padme, smiling.

"Sure Senator." Said Luminara, smiling.

The pair sat down and Padme handed her the datapad. Luminara looked it over and then looked at Padme. She kept calm and thought only about Lux's well being.

"So Dooku have order a **** order on Lux Bonteri." Said Luminara, as she looked at Padme. Padme just nodded.

"Why ?" Asked Luminara, as she felt a bit skeptical.

"He did kill Mina, for trying to negotiate a peace with the Republic." Said Padme, smiling.

Luminara just looked at Padme. She knew about Padme's friendship with Mina. She knew about that little trip she and Ahsoka took to see her and her son on Raxus. Of course not from Republic Intel but from her own Padawan Barriss. As she was one of Ahsoka's friends. While Dooku said he had nothing do to with Mina's ****, no one in either the Republic or CIS brought. She already guess this evidence was being overblown just so Padme could give Lux some extra protection.

She sighed, "Senator, the Order is over stretched right now." Said Luminara, trying to let Padme down gently.

"I know but I'm not asking for a Jedi or two. Just Ahsoka." Said Padme, smiling.

Luminara sighed, "Anakin's Padawan." Said Luminara, she knew Ahsoka went after Lux by herself (something reckless, just like her master) to save him. Luminara sighed again, Ahsoka wasn't needed for anything for now but she didn't like the idea of Ahsoka being around a boy, especially her age. Ahsoka was like her master and had an attachment problem. Plus, the fact Lux and Ahsoka being eighteen. She didn't want anything to happen between them.

She wanted to say no but knowing Padme she wouldn't let this go. She might even get some other powerful people involved. The Jedi knew how the Senators and other powerful people love faking evidence to get extra Jedi security. Then who knows where this would end up, as the Senate could start demanding permanent Jedi bodyguards.

"Fine, I will allow Ahsoka to guard Mr. Bonteri." Said Luminara, Padme smiled.

"But, my own Padawan will accompany her on this mission." Said Luminara, smiling.

Padme hid a frown, she wanted Lux and Ahsoka to be alone. Ahsoka told her about Barriss, while she is nice. She is the classic Jedi (no attachment). Padme would just have to figure a way for Barriss not to interfere with her plan's for Lux and Ahsoka.

"That's seems fair." Said Padme, smiling.

"Thanks for understanding Senator." Said Luminara, bowing her head.
