Jerry's weird day

Jerry was not a very noticeable individual; he always seemed to blend into the background until he didn't, which usually wasn't a good thing. As he went to a school that seemed more a training camp for the local gangs than a place where someone would try to improve their prospects. As such, when he was noticed, it was usually because one of these thugs had decided to test him and take his money.

This was not an often occurrence, though when it did happen, it was rather brutal. As it seemed that the gangers in training had forgotten him and decided they needed to go extra hard on him as a lesson to him of who was in charge. He had been taught this particular lesson repeatedly due to their inability to recall ever meeting him before.

So Jerry often found himself in a strange love-hate relationship with his ability to blend into a crowd. On one hand, beatings happened less often, but on the other hand, they were more vicious than was usual. Then there was the situation with girls once again. On one hand, the girls didn't notice him, which made it hard for him to get a girlfriend; on the other hand, everyone at the school was so tied to criminal culture he'd probably get stabbed if he tried to get involved with any of the girls.

So all together, Jerry's life was boring, one broken up by the occasional vicious beating, but nothing else besides that. Then it happened: the big bang, an event that seemed to not only change his life but everyone else's in town as well. He'd been minding his own business, taking a walk, trying to think about where he was going in life despite the general city madness. He found himself getting swept along as he turned a corner and was suddenly in the middle of one of the gangs heading somewhere.

He didn't dare get out of the group, as he knew his tendency to blend in was the only thing saving him from being killed by those around him. The night did not get better; as it turned out, he was dragged along to some kind of gang turf war. Which, by the end of all the shootings and explosions, had somehow caused the release of a dangerous gas that transformed anyone there.

Luckily enough for Jerry, he seemed to get out okay, as he hadn't begun to change in any drastic ways, nor was he brought up on charges for being a part of the whole clusterfuck. So all together, Jerry was counting his lucky stars. Though sadly he now had to be careful of gangsters with superpowers, so he supposed there was a trade-off for everything.

For the moment he was just trying to stay blended in as he usually was. Though for the first time in his life, that wasn't so simple. He had no idea why, but all of a sudden he was being noticed by Blacks. He didn't know why, and it was strange. His fellow whites as well as the Asians and Latinos weren't noticing him more, just specific Black people.

Now usually this would be a rather bad thing, as him being noticed by that many at his crime-ridden school would mean a large beating was in store for him. This wasn't happening, which was strange in of itself, but what they were doing instead was even stranger. He had no idea why, but every Black person at his school was suddenly an ass model?

He had no idea why this was, but the something kept repeating again and again as the school day went on. He would be noticed by a Black person, and when he looked in their direction for any reason, suddenly their ass was on display. He honestly had a loss track of all the times one of them had suddenly dropped a pencil and was shaking their ass in his direction as they bent down to pick up said pencil.

All together it was a strange thing that made it a very strange day. He did his best to ignore it, as publicly showing he noticed that it was happening might make things unpleasant. As none of the blacks, both female and male, who had been showing their ass off towards him were above entrapment, he just kept going and hoped this strangeness wouldn't become a regular occurrence.
