Testing

Tim quickly grabbed the iBod device and activated the voice modulation feature. He adjusted the settings, shifting Walter's deep timbre to a more feminine pitch. The device hummed softly as it processed the change.

"Testing," Tim said, nodding at 'Alison' to speak.

Walter cleared his throat nervously and responded, "Testing." The words came out in a surprisingly convincing female voice, smooth and melodic, though still carrying a slight hint of Walter's natural gruffness beneath the surface.

Tim smiled, relieved. "Perfect. Now, remember, Dad, just act natural. You can do this."

Walter took a deep breath, his eyes meeting Tim's with a mix of worry and determination. "Alright, let's get this show on the road." His voice was still Alison's, but the tone was unmistakably Walter's.

The knock at the door came again, more insistent this time.
