She wants to interrogate Zack

“So,” Taylor trailed, making a little suspense. “Having fun here? Are you eating properly?”

Zack chuckled at his older sister’s concern. ”Classic Taylor,” He thought fondly. “Yes and yes, don’t worry.”

“Hmm,” Taylor nodded, glancing at the lake. “Speaking of fun, what do you guys usually do? Swim at the lake, play board games or what?”

Zack opened his mouth but no answer came out, having his sister mention those activities made him realize how little of actual fun he had over the last few days at the cabin, what with thoughts of Heather, Victoria and the mysteries around the woods occupying his mind all the time.

“Uhn, actually, I only went to the lake once,” He answered awkwardly. “On my first day here.”

“Once?” Taylor gaped in disbelief. “A beautiful lake like that and you only went in once?” She repeated the question, and at Zack’s nod, she shook her head. “Then it’s a really good thing that we came, I’m gonna make you enjoy your trip even if I have to throw you into the lake, got it?”

Zack smiled. “Ok, ok, I’ll lighten up a little.”

“Good, now on to more serious stuff, how’s your, shall we say, crusade, for Victoria’s heart going?” The older sibling asked, her voice dropping a few volumes. “I guess I have to warn you before you find out from someone else, her ex-boyfriend is here.”

“Dustin?” Zack frowned. “How? His family moved out a little less than a year ago.”

“Duh, did you forget I’m kinda friends with his older brother Shawn?” Taylor shot back. “They came to Azure Rocks this break and wanted to come here with us.”

“Damn,” Zack swore. “If they weren’t before, now things surely became a mess.”

“What do you mean?” His sister asked, confused.

“The situation changed these last few days, it became a lot more complicated.” Zack replied. When Taylor’s expression of confusion didn’t change, he elaborated. “It was already going on when I talked to you on the store that day. The thing is, I’ve fallen for someone else.”

Taylor raised an eyebrow, surprised. “Who is it?”

“Hey, Zack!” A voice from above interrupted them.
