Burning Fjord
The sleigh hit the frozen surface of the fjord with a bone-jarring crack. Kristoff hauled on the reins, fighting to keep Sven steady as the hooves scrambled for traction on the slick sea ice. The sled drifted sideways, carving deep grooves into the surface, sending up a spray of ice chips that sparkled in the dying light.
"Incoming!" Kristoff yelled, pointing his whip forward.
From the shadows of the frozen ships, they emerged. Heartless. Hundreds of them. Shadows flattened against the ice, moving like oil. Soldier Heartless clad in jagged armor. And massive, floating Large Bodies that blocked the path to the castle gates. The despair of the townspeople had summoned a legion.
"They're blocking the path!" Anna cried, gripping my arm tight.
"Not for long," I said. I stood up in the moving sleigh, balancing effortlessly despite the swaying. "Elsa."
Elsa looked up at me. She was still wrapped in my coat, her bare legs tucked under her, but her eyes were blazing with blue fire. "Master?"
"Clear the road. But don't freeze them. Scald them."
She smirked, a dangerous, wicked curve of her bruised lips. "As you wish."
She didn't need to stand. She simply raised a hand from beneath the coat, exposing her pale arm to the biting wind. She flicked her wrist. Instead of sharp icicles, she summoned a wave of slush, heavy, wet, and freezing. It erupted from the fjord, crashing over the front line of the Heartless like a tidal wave. Then, I swung The Solar Zenith. I unleashed a pulse of pure heat into her wave. FWOOSH.
The slush instantly boiled. The wave turned into a torrential flood of scalding water and superheated steam. It hit the Heartless with the **** of a freight train. The shadows didn't just dissipate; they screamed as the holy steam dissolved them. The Large Bodies popped like overfilled balloons.
"Whoa," Kristoff breathed, watching the path clear in a cloud of vapor.
"Keep moving!" I ordered. "Don't stop for anything!"
Sven galloped through the steam, his hooves splashing through the puddles of melted enemy. We tore across the fjord, a comet of ice and fire heading straight for the castle walls.
More Heartless poured over the walls of the courtyard. Neoshadows, fast and lethal. They leaped from the ramparts, aiming for the sleigh.
"Get down!" I shouted, shoving Anna and Elsa low.
I leaped from the sleigh while it was still moving. I hit the ice in a slide, The Solar Zenith blazing. I was a whirlwind of destruction. I slashed upward, catching a Neoshadow in mid-air, cleaving it in two. I spun, unleashing a Firaga burst that incinerated three more. I moved with the speed of a predator, dancing between the enemies, clearing the flank of the sleigh.
Anna watched from the back of the sled, her head poking up. Her eyes were wide, pupils dilated. She watched the way I moved, the raw power, the brutality, the control. She wasn't scared of the monsters; she was captivated by the monster-killer.
"He's incredible," she whispered to Elsa.
Elsa, peering over the rim of the ice, licked her lips. "He truly is."
I vaulted back onto the sleigh just as Sven smashed through the wooden gates of the outer courtyard. Splinters flew. We skidded to a halt in the center of the square. The sleigh rocked and settled.
The courtyard was chaos. Townspeople were huddled near the castle doors. Guards were trying to hold back the Heartless. And standing in the center, trying to look heroic with a sword he barely knew how to hold, was Prince Hans. Beside him, shivering in his pompous coat, was the Duke of Weselton.
The arrival of our magical ice-sleigh drew every eye. The Heartless paused, sensing a greater predator. Hans lowered his sword, staring. "Anna?" he called out, seeing the redhead rise from the back. "Princess? You're alive!"
Then he saw the figure beside her. Elsa stood up. The coat slipped off one shoulder, revealing the expanse of her pale, naked skin, marked with the red aftermath of my affection. She looked wild, disheveled, and terrifyingly regal. "Elsa..." Hans whispered, taking a step back. "The Monster."
"Careful," I said, my voice projecting across the courtyard as I stepped out of the sleigh, my boots crunching on the cobblestones. I stood between the sisters and the Prince. I rested the burning blade of the Keyblade on my shoulder. Steam rose from my body in waves.
"She's not a monster," I told the crowd. "She's my Queen."
The Duke pointed a shaking finger. "She has returned! With a sorcerer! Look at them! They conspire with the dark forces!"
"Oh, shut up, you little weasel," I sighed.
I pointed the Keyblade at the remaining Heartless surrounding the courtyard. "BEGONE." I released a flash of pure light from the tip of the blade. Pearl. The holy light blinded everyone for a second. When vision returned, the Heartless were gone, banished by the sheer weight of my authority.
Silence fell over Arendelle. Hans stared at me, trying to calculate his odds. He looked at the massive blonde man with the axe, the wild Queen, and the entranced Princess. He realized his plan was falling apart.
"Anna," Hans tried, putting on his charming mask. "You're safe. Thank goodness. I was so worried. We have to... we have to deal with your sister. She's dangerous. Look at her! She's indecent!"
Anna climbed out of the sleigh. She looked at Hans. The man she thought she loved yesterday. Then she looked at me. The man who had warmed her frozen body, who commanded monsters, and who had tamed her sister. The choice wasn't even fair.
Anna walked with her gaze solely on me. She didn't even look at Hans. She walked straight to my side, grabbing my free arm and hugging it to her chest, effectively squishing her soft boobs against it. "She's not dangerous," Anna said, her voice firm. "And neither is he. Unless you make them angry."
Elsa stepped out of the sleigh. She walked on bare feet across the cold stones, unbothered. She came to my other side, leaning her head against my arm, wrapping her arm around my waist. The visual was striking. The tall, muscular King, flanked by the two Royalties of Arendelle - one wild and naked beneath a coat, the other clinging to him like a lifeline.
"We're taking back the castle," I announced to the stunned crowd. "Prepare the royal chambers. It's going to be a long night."
