Say 'No'

You lean back, crossing your arms and watching her with a playful, almost clinical detachment. "What if I don't want to?" you tease, a ghost of a smirk playing on your lips. "I told you, I'm a very disciplined man. And you? You're the epitome of a disciplined kunoichi. You aren't like Tsunade-sama, who wears her heart on her sleeve, or Anko, who thrives on chaos. You're Kurenai Yuhi. Surely you can control yourself for one evening."

Her smile falters for a fraction of a second, a flicker of genuine frustration crossing her features as she realizes you are turning her own legendary composure against her.

"Since we’re both professionals," you continue, ignoring the heat in her gaze, "let's discuss development matters. That Fuinjutsu I use on you—it has significant tactical applications. Beyond the... recreational use we find for it, it’s designed to heighten sensory perception to a superhuman degree. If applied correctly to the soles of the feet or the palms, it could allow a shinobi to detect ground tremors or air pressure changes from miles away. It turns the body into a living radar for detecting intrusions."

Kurenai stares at you, her tea forgotten. The shift from her raw confession of desire to a lecture on jutsu mechanics is jarring, and she knows exactly why you are doing it. You are testing her, forcing her to play the role of the cold professional while her body is still humming from the memory of the night before.

"It’s a fascinating application of chakra-conductive ink," you add conversationally, picking up a piece of fish. "Though, the chakra drain is immense. One needs a high level of control to prevent the sensory input from overwhelming the brain. Most would go insane within minutes. But you handle it quite well, all things considered."

Kurenai takes a slow, steadying breath, her fingers tightening around her cup. "You're doing this on purpose," she whispers, her voice tight. "You're talking about detection and 'tactical applications' while you know perfectly well that my skin is still prickling just from being in the same room as you."

"I'm merely being a good comrade," you reply smoothly. "Education is vital for the village's future. Don't you agree, Sensei?"
