The first refusal of a quest.

I wake up to Anne and Roos in both my arms. I hadn't put them there, oh well. I tap Anne's shoulder, she wakes up and starts breakfast as I lift Roos off the other arm. I can give both quests again.

Roos will receive the following quest: 'Attempt to convince your brother or mother to visit your grandfather today.'

I look at them, this is the first time something happened like this. I tap Anne's shoulder. She looks at the rewards and smiles, holds up 2 fingers, and gestures to wake up our Pet. I select the licking dog perk.

I head to Roos and say, "Sleepyhead, time for your morning walk." She wakes up and is grumpy, looks at the notifications on her phone. She does something that gives my phone a notification. I look, "Roos has refused the quest." Ohh yeah, that is an option. The bait was not enough. There are no consequences for refusing quests... do I need a stick? She gets ready, and we leave on our walk. We frisbee, and I ask: "What were you doing on your phone earlier?"

She looks shocked at me as if I had kicked her. "Do you not trust me?" I roll my eyes. "I do, I just wanted to know if you had found a cool game to play. Don't get butthurt about it. I didn't say anything to indicate I didn't trust you. You could have said none of your buisness and it would be fine. But apparently, you trust my sense of consent so little." I say annoyed that she, one I would be suspicious of, is mine, and we both know it. Two, she doesn't trust me with the LifeQuest app info. Anne volunteered the info herself. And finally three the fact that she doesn't trust me not to pry if she says none of your business. She looks shocked at how hurt I feel. "Damit, Roos, how long have we been friends? You trust me to respect your boundaries so little." I am fuming; I should cool down. "I will let you into the house, and go for a cycle to cool my head. I can't deal with you right now." I drop her off and leave without setting foot inside.

(Roos's POV)

I got dropped off inside his home with Misterss, who might be mad I didn't bring him. Well, that is one thing, last time he said that to me, he had barely punched me in the face. I had called Madelon a dumb bitch for not listening to him and picking his parents over him. I had been straight vitriolic. This was different; there was no anger at the behest of others, but anger and sadness over lack of trust and lack of perceived trust between us.

It is worth buying the ones you are interested in as long as you can in the perk tree. Perks related to your class are cheaper. You can gain a secondary class at level 10. I have no special-ranked perks, but I assume they are powerful. Questions thus far." I shake my head. "No wait, what perks do you think are must-haves?"

"Wealthy is nice, but as a subby class with a master, it will go to Pieter since we are both his subs. I have no idea how duplicate perks work since I haven't been able to get those. Birth Control seems nice for you, having many kids, but it costs a lot to buy. I don't know the pet side of the tree too much to help you with. But here compare with mine." She says awkwardly. I look over the tree and try to find what the pet side is. Wait, these skills she doesn't have: agility, strength, animal aspect? These are weird but fun. She has this Smell Obsession I. It only shows its upgrades and those that don't require them. "Mistress, why do you have a smell obsession? It isn't in any of your perk trees but is in mine." I ask curiously. "When I first got the app, I had gotten a quest which was 'surprise Pieter when he gets home.' Clarification: Regret quests are made of subconscious ideas of how to solve the regret. Self-inflicted quests can't be refused; only quests or conditional quests by the QuestMaster can be refused. Current regret showing lack of trust in the master. Answer trust him with **** puppy play. Hint: This explanation can be triggered by double-tapping regret quests.

Wait, the QuestMaster is a person. Who? A headache happens when I think about it. Anne either knows all or doesn't question it. I ask her 'Do you know who the QuestMaster is?' An answer is swift: 'Wish I could tell you. Punishments follow if I say more. This might already trigger it.' That doesn't seem like the QuestMaster is a friendly dude. No, wait, Anne talked like he was friendly, but the app prevents her from talking.
