Rahul (19 year Indian boy, youngest in the family)

Rahul woke up from his sleep. He had been getting the same dream for the last few nights: a light orb, just out of his reach. He could never reach it, but he finally managed to touch it last night.

That was what he heard before he woke up. His alarm clock was ringing. He freshened up and got ready for college. He went down to get his breakfast.

His father was sitting there, reading the newspaper. His mother was preparing breakfast.

"Rahul, I asked you to throw the garbage out last night." His mother said. He looked towards the bin where garbage was piling up; he forgot to throw it out last night. Fuck.

"But I did throw it out, Mom." He lied. His mother did not reprimand him. She simply kept cooking.

Rahul was surprised; he expected a lecture about responsibility, at the very least from his father, who was sitting there.

Rahul looked at the bin, but the bag was not there! But that was impossible!

He saw the bag just moments ago!

The words from last night's dream came back to his mind.

"What's for breakfast, Mom?" He asked.

"I am cooking tofu scramble." She answered. Rahul could clearly see that.

"You are making pancakes." He said, trying to see if the words from last night's dream were true or if the garbage bag was a trick of his mind.

"Of course, I am making pancakes." His mother answered, and right before his eyes, the whole setup changed.

Rahul felt lightheaded.

His words were coming true, but what was the limit? He turned towards his father, who was engrossed in the news articles.

"Dad, your name is Radhika." His father's name was Sanjay.

"Why are you stating the obvious, son? I got enough teasing from my colleagues and friends for having a woman's name." His dad said. Rahul went towards the drawer where his father kept his wallet and pulled out his driving license. His father's name was changed to 'Radhika' on the license.

He decided to test more to see if there was a limit. But he did not want to change something that could end the world.

He looked at his parents and decided he would test his powers on them.
