Inside The Tower of Voices

Take ascends the stairs feeling a sense of elation. She did indeed feel honored to be chosen. She had not expected it, in her mind at least her desire had been, while important of course to her, not something she had expected empathy on. In her mind she is a failure. She intends to prove that she can make amends, but still she carries that guilt and part of her had accepted and expected to be punished for that guilt. Being chosen made her feel like she was already part way towards forgiveness. The voices knew her guilt and yet still accepted her. They believed that she could atone. She felt happy, beneath the mask her cheeks were flushed and she felt tears welling in her eyes. "I... I thank you so much, benevolent voices," she speaks, her voice tinged with the beginning of tears. She holds one arm up to hide her face as she lifts the mask to wipe the tears from her eyes and then places the mask back down. She soon reaches the ornate golden door at the top of the stairs and pushes it open with a slight struggle. The doors quite heavy.

On the other side of the door is a large hexagonal room, a simple straw mat lies on the floor and in the middle of the room there is a small cooking fire, a small chair with an end table beside it and a simple outhouse. All in all it seems like a rather cozy rest area, where one can replenish their supplies, sleep, read books, cook and eat food and just generally prepare themselves for what lies ahead.

Past that the upper half of the hexagon's three edges each has a door. The first is a door that is made of gleaming silver, the second is a simple wooden door with what appears to be a large crack in the upper center of it, consistent with a strike with a bladed weapon and the last door is frosted glass, giving tantalizing, but unclear glimpses of the room beyond.

Take examines the area and then faces the doors, "This is where our journey begins. Three doors to choose between. ****, riches or trials may lay beyond, I will go where you direct," she promises.
