Shopping for Internships

Afternoon comes and I start getting excited for my date. The changes to my body seem to have stabilized. I should be okay going shopping for tonight using some suggestions from the stream last night.

Before I go dress shopping, I need some proper womanly undergarments. I would die of shame being measured in boxer shorts and a tank top.

My first stop is the local big box store from some basic panties and a sports bra. Men’s underwear is simple boxers or briefs? Women’s? Bikini style, full-coverage, thong, brief, boyshorts, brazillian. I wasn’t prepared. I don't think I'm ready for a thong or g-string.

I like the coverage of boyshorts, so i pick a few pair of those, large to fit my broad hips. I get a small sports bra for my new breasts. My body is a whole new shape, this must be what girls going through puberty feel like.

I also buy a couple of t-shirts and sweaters along with some straight-leg sweat pants. I’m tired of looking like I’m wearing my brother’s hand-me downs. Last, I buy a plain white top, long sleeve with shoulder cut-outs and jeans. It’s one of my quest items and I can wear this shopping today.

Now for the real shopping. I head to some local shops. First, a proper bra. I stand outside the Victoria’s Secret for a moment, not sure if I should go in unescorted. It still hasn’t sunk in that this store is for me now. It won’t be weird for me to simply peruse.

I get my courage together and walk in. I’m quickly greeted by the girl merchandising the floor.

“Welcome in! Can I help you with anything?”

“Yes, please, I need a bra and panty set for my date tonight.” I can’t believe I’m buying a bra! I’m only buying one for tonight, in case my body keeps changing. The girl looks me up and down approvingly.

“Girl, I got you! I know exactly what will look good on you!” Her excited response makes me happy I changed clothes. For the first time in the past few weeks, I don’t feel like a woman cosplaying a man. ”Do you know your size?”

“I’d like to be measured, please.” I shake my head no.

“No problem. Come with me.” She leads the way to the section with bras and pulls out a tape measure. She’s going to measure me here? Just like that? Should I take off my shirt? She smoothly moves behind me and slips the tape under my arms and gets to work. At first I was surprised that she didn't make a bigger scene about it.

This is a normal girl thing. I’m in the club now.

“I wish I had your figure.” The girl talks as she measures. “Everything here is going to look so good on you. You’re a 34B. With your skin tone and hair I would go with this bombshell set.”

She points to a lacy pink bra and thong panty set. “The bra is padded just right to give you a boost for your date and the lacy panties are super cute for when the date gets hot.”

“Can I try on the bra?” She agrees and leads me to the changing rooms. It fits like a dream! John won’t be able to keep his eyes off me tonight! I go back to the girl and tell her it fits. She’s wearing a cute necklace so I compliment her about that and we start to chat.

The girls helps me find something more my style. I swap for the matching cheeky panties and add a teddy, knocking out two more items from my quest.

Then she takes me to the Pink side and shows me some cute pajamas. I but 3 sets. That puts me in the bonus.

I check out of Victoria’s Secret and the tab has me about halfway through my donations.

Time for the dresses.

(John’s PoV)

My day moved quickly until I got this notification.

The first perk looks interesting. I receive the notification followed by a message from Mat.

Attached is a selfie of Mat in her new white shirt and jeans with shopping bags on each arm. The kiss and wink completed the flirty picture. She looks like the pampered housewives of Stargram, which is what I want for her.

I figured this would be any easy quest for Mat. She seems to have went all out.

I respond with a new quest. I want to ensure a good first date for Mat.

(Rita’s PoV)

I don’t know what I was so nervous about. That test wasn’t nearly as hard as the groaning in the classroom would have you believe.

I think I did pretty well.

Time to talk to my advisors, Dr Vivian Chen,. about internships. I’ve been putting it off, but I have a quest for it now, so 'seize the day'. First Cotton’s proposal, now a guaranteed paid internship? It’s my lucky week for money. No more broke college life for Rita!

“Hello, Rita! Classes are good?” Dr Chen greets me as I walk into her office. She was an energetic woman in her mid-thirties. For an engineer, she was even friendly.

“My classes are hard, but I can manage.”

“Glad to hear. What brings you in?” To the point, as usual.

“Is it to late to apply for Internships?” I ask in a small voice.

"Now’s the best time! Take a seat." Dr. Chen responds with excitement. I take the offered seat and she turns one of her monitors towards me. After some clicking around she brought up some arcane spreadsheet. "I have many good opportunities. These companies would be perfect for you."

I look at the options. One of them is obviously better than the others. “SpaceY? How did you get SpaceY an intership for an undergrad at SpaceY?”

Dr. Chen says nothing but smiles and leans back in her chair. She folded her hands under her chin and her expression said “This is why I’ve been bugging you.”

“How is this still available?” I’m in disbelief. Any third year would jump at this opportunity. The best internships always go fast.

“They are selective about undergrads. They’ve interviewed a few of your peers and not found a fit. Your talent and passion will serve you well at SpaceY. You should apply.”

“I don’t know… Are you sure?”

“I spoke, I’m sure.” Dr Chen obviously didn’t get her position because she’s a people person. I guess the engineers at the company she worked with liked that she was one of them.

“Okay. I’ll try that one and these other two.”

“Let’s get started.”

I’m glad I got those applications done. LifeQuest is really helping me get my life together. Things have been changing for me since this app appeared on my phone.

Now to head to the gym. I’m still not sure what I’m doing there. Miss Maria I know is looking out for me by helping me get in shape. That makes sense for someone as mature as her.

I’ve never been friends with the pretty, popular girls. I’m not sure why Cotton comes along. I think she just wants to annoy me. But annoy me into getting in shape? It doesn’t make any sense. She has a reputation for being a bitch, but she seems to me like more of a bratty kid.

Either way, both of them are in such good shape! Maria’s so toned and flexible and strong and sexy. Cotton’s so tall and confident and limber and perfect. I’m never going to have a body like theirs.

Makes me want to give up.

I’m glad I got the Perk Weight Loss Training [S], but this girl likes to eat. I wonder if there’s a Perk to help with that?

Bingo! That’s what I’m looking for! Now I can enjoy my nachos without being a fatty!

To celebrate, I stop for a torta on my way over to the gym. Don’t want to train hungry.

I get to the gym and get changed. Cotton and Maria seem locked in a competition to see who can bend their body until they get stuck or some similar nonsense.

I don’t know how else to describe what I’m seeing. They are both hanging from rings. Only not hanging down, like normal people, their arms are wide. It’s not enough that they’re hanging. Both of them have their legs in a full split, one forward and one back. Now moved to side splits.

When I get close enough I have to let them know how awesome they are. “Wow! I didn’t know people could do that in real life! You two are so flexible!”

At my words Cotton flipped backwards and dismounted, like a gymnast. She stuck the landing with her back arched and arms raised overhead. Does she know there’s no crowd here? Well, I guess the gym regulars might be watching.

Maria brough her legs together and lowered herself to the ground, like a normal person. She looked at both of us and spoke:

“Glad you could make it, girls!” I don’t like that look in her eyes. She has something evil planned. “It has come to my attention that some of us need to work on stamina.” She gave Cotton side-eye. The blonde flinched away and … blushed? “So that’s what we’ll do today, muscle endurance. And then we’ll finish with glutes.”

I was right to be scared. It was awful.

As usual, Miss Maria leaves Cotton and I in a puddle of sweat with overcooked glutes. It’s a sign of Maria’s talent as a coach that the two of us, with wildly different fitness levels, are both pushed to the limit.

“Looks like you kids have had enough.” Miss Maria stands over us, glowing. Sweat shouldn’t look so sexy. “I have a client to train. Take care, girls.”

“That woman is unreal.” Cotton leaned over me, blocking the light with her boobs. I think she gets a kick out of putting her big jugs near people’s heads. It’s not welcoming, like Maria’s hugs, but more competitive. I hear admiration in her voice. “You know what time it is! Shop-ping time!”

The perky girl turned each syllable into it’s own cheer, hands up and everything. Her energy would be infectious, if I could breathe.

“Sounds pant good pant.” I’m not ready to move yet. “First, I’m hungry pant.”

“Come by my place! I’ll have my chef make us empanadas!” She pulls out her phone to start texting. “They’ll be ready when we get there.”

“Sounds good.” Suddenly, I can move. I’m thinking we’ll hit up Gyro Gym. Of course Rich Girl has a private chef.

And I love empanadas.
