John learns the system (montage)

John spent the next few days learning the system as best as he could. The tutorials online weren’t as easy to learn from, but they helped him get the basics down.

Whenever a Game Master wanted to make adjustments they could focus and will the changes they wanted. He tried it out for creating NPCs and was able to recreate Lana’s introductory session with a few minor tweaks. Namely he made himself the bartender and adjusted the female characters to male ones.

A basic feature he tried was transferring between characters. He could jump between the various NPCs so long as he could see them or knew they were nearby. And the transitioning wasn’t as seamless initially, he could for instance jump from the Bartender to a nearby barfly patron, but the bartender would pause for a few seconds as the system took over. It gave the sense that the NPC was zoning out. After some failed attempts he managed to hide the transition as he jumped characters by having the system assist in his mannerisms and dialogue which hid the transitions better.

Then he started playing with the other modules. It was a lot easier to modify the existing ones than recreating something from scratch. The modules Lana gave him were of various genres; Fantasy, SciFi Space Opera, Cyberpunk, Urban Fantasy, Modern Day Spy, a more Erotic Maid and Master scenario, and a Asian inspired module that seemed like a Japanese historical fantasy.

He was excited, but needed to narrow down on which one to run Lana through first. She did mention enjoying erotic roleplay, but was it too forward for him to delve into the direct “Sexual Roleplay” scenarios or should he be more subtle?
