Becoming Mom
The last doctor visit of the day came and went almost just as quickly as the date on the dry-erase board in front of your bed read the day of discharge. It was more or less strange as you were, today, going to be let go into the world as Rebecca Reynolds, no longer Steve Meadows, and you had the rest of your life to make do with two simple facts: you were now a woman to everyone you ever met or will meet and two, you were now also your father's wife, spouse, significant other, and had mated successfully 4 times in the past.
You got up from the bed and walked over to the bathroom, taking notice of the way your hips naturally swayed, the feeling of your breasts hanging from your chest and the swish of your hair. Everything about your body was different than before and you took a moment to gather your bearings before you moved to the toilet and slowly sat down. Even the act of relieving one's self was different, no longer feeling the need to hold your penis to aim in the bowl, the urge to let go and feel the urine spraying out was a new sensation.
You finished wiping yourself and after washing your hands, you turned off the light and just as you closed the bathroom door, a knock on the room door caught your attention. "Yes?"
The door opened and your brother, Dustin, and his wife, Jennifer, came in along with their two kids. "Hey mom, glad to see you up!" he called out and reached over, gingerly embracing you with a warm hug. You couldn't remember the last time you had given him a hug that wasn't either a bear hug or a hug among men, but you just smiled and felt the warmth in his embrace.
"Hey sweetie," you whispered, remembering something that she would say, and then for a good measure, you turned and gave Jennifer a warm hug as well, feeling the awkwardness of your breasts pressing against hers.
"Grams!"
You stepped back and gave their daughter, Hailey, a warm hug before you turned and gave Thomas a hug as well. "Hey, thank you for coming today!"
As the five of you talked, the more at ease you became and the general sense that Saunders had told you rang in your ears: A lot of your personality will be hers so things will become easy and common place. You will have adjustments, though, where you will be confronted by conflicts between what you know and what your body knows.
After about an hour of talking, there came another knock and you looked up as the door opened...

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
