(Warning: the following Chapter contains minor spoilers for the Domestic Affairs, HH, and Island Vacation branches)
After over four hours of viewing, the credits began to roll on the screen in front of the girls for the third time. It seemed the length of Harem Hotel episodes was more flexible than that of normal syndicated television, which made for a variable viewing experience. As was the tone. The three seasons that they watched couldn’t have been more different from each other.
The first, the Domestic Affairs Season, had featured a hunt across the entire island. The girls had to avoid being caught by a terminator of a huntress as they hid and ran all across the island, making use of their transformations, while the huntress only got stronger throughout the day. It didn’t help that they were being doused with aphrodisiac the entire time. Ultimately, the winner had found an unorthodox way of besting the huntress, ending the competition early and also sending both the winner and the huntress into an emotional spiral. Really, by the end, it didn’t feel so much like winning as just ending the game.
The girls had had minor exposure to the season before this; it was one of the few that Reyna had shown clips of in her insistence on multilateral exposure. After the viewing, though, they couldn’t help but feel differently about what they had seen.
“Man, what a load of crock,” Stella was the first to speak up, “One of them did all the work, but the other two still get declared the winners too? Also whats the point if you’re just gonna be transformed anyway?”
“Different carrot and stick,” Amy said quietly, “Genet isn’t trying to mess with them, so the idea of getting good transformations is a unique benefit. Whereas we hope ours isn’t the worst option.” The oni was taking a lot of care to speak intellectually on it, but seeing others in the same situation as them was tugging at her emotions more than she cared to let on.
Rocking back and forth in her chair, Maya frowned, “I’m glad Aubrey did her best. I know she feels she has a lot to lose.”
Lily bit her lip, seeing the woman she had exchanged letters with humbled the way she had was making her regret what she had written. Hopefully if didn’t put too much pressure on her.
“Stella did her best too, even though she was out of her depth.” Maddy said with a conviction surprising everyone, “Everyone tried…well, except for, yeah.”
“Oh yeah, her first elimination, jeeze, talk about a let down,” Stella responded, “You can portray it nobly all you want, doesn’t change the fact you essentially gave up.”
The conversation died when the second episode began to play. This episode, titled The HH, featured more cast members that the girls had been exposed to through clip shows as they attempted to protect ribbons from each other and a rampant rogue cowgirl. The girls had rallied together a plan to ensure everyone’s safety that had been destroyed by one woman’s weakness, and another sacrificed herself to protect another. As the credits rolled, Maddy was the first to speak up.
“They actually tried; they tried to get the good ending for them all. It just all fell apart.” Her voice was sad, and it didn’t take a genius to recognize she was probably thinking back to the results of their own challenge.
Stella didn’t let her ruminate, though, “Yeah, I guess, but is it really fair to get upset with someone trying to ensure their survival. We don’t have to worry about being eliminated until the end, but it seems fucking awful to do every goddamn round. That stress would get to anyone.”
Scrunching up her nose, Lily lashed out, “Isn’t it sad though? They trusted each other! Shouldn’t that have been enough to…to…” she trailed off.
Maya’s face was even as she shrugged, “How long have they known each other? A few weeks? Shared trauma might bond them together, might make them feel more like family, but do they really trust each other?”
“What an awful thing to say, Maya!” Maddy’s voice was more heartbroken than angry, “I thought after everything we’ve all been through-”
The chef was cut off by Maya, “Do you trust me?”
“I-” The blonde hesitated, “I like you, Maya, I think we’ve gotten to understand each other…”
“But you don’t trust me.” The purple-haired woman made no accusation; she was saying it as matter-of-factly as listing a state capital, “That’s normal, I like everyone here.” Maya smiled, “But I don’t understand any of you. How can I expect to trust you?”
A heavy silence broke out between the group for a few moments before the resident imp broke it, “Hey, let’s drop it, ok? Thinking about stuff clinically like this isn’t healthy. We like each other, that’s more than we could say even five days ago. There’s no need to sour things by poking the bear.”
Amy, who had remained silent during the conversation, was thankful for it’s ending. She couldn’t help but agree with Maya and that was distressing. They were all friends now, which was great, the tension that had been present in round one wasn’t there. But as Stella pointed out, that had changed in a weeks time. Given another week, could they maintain that peace?
The group’s attention turned to a massive tonal shift as a season none but Amy was familiar with took the screen and displayed a game of…horny Among Us? It was almost comedic with the girls treating the deception as deadly serious as the impostors crept around and caused the other women in the harem to explosively orgasm and become eliminated.
“Is it even really fair?” Maddy asked afterwards, “It felt like the impostors have a huge advantage.”
Lily shrugged, “It’s based on a real style of video game, it’s actually pretty popular, and you’d be surprised how often the more powerful role loses.”
“It’s called asymmetrical gameplay; the roles are balanced by the less powerful role being more numerous and having more opportunity to thwart the role that has more power,” Maya added
“Ok…” the chef conceded, “It still feels like the game was weighed oddly in favor of certain people and poorly against others.”
“Hate to break it to you, Mads, but that’s just games.” Stella threw her arms back behind her head, “Someone is always gonna have a natural advantage, heck, taller people are naturally gonna do better at basketball, you know?”
The lights turned back on in the theater, and the screen began to retract. Amy looked around, “Guess that’s the end?”
Standing up and stretching, Lily yawned, “I mean, we’ve been here for hours. I think I got what Reyna was trying to show us.”
Maya nodded, “All the games were hunting games in some way, so we should probably expect to be hunted in some way.”
Stella bounced up, “Really? I was assuming it was a game that would pit us against each other in some way; all those games featured situations that discouraged cooperation.”
Maddy frowned, “Two of them also contained a player that w-wasn’t a contestant either.”
The oni frowned, “So a hunting game, that pits us against each other, with some sort of third party involved?” She shook her head, “That’s…vague, but I guess it’s something.”
Yawning in response to Lily’s Stella skipped forward, “Done thinking now, I’m hungry, let’s get dinner.”
“No arguments here.” Lily stepped to follow the imp, and Maddy chased behind.
Maya stopped by Amy, “There’s another thing that the games had in common.”
The oni frowned, turning to the lottery winner, “What’s that?”
Maya frowned, “They all featured the breakdown of someone. The winner in the first, the stolen ribbon, the betrayed buddy…just something I noticed.” She didn’t linger on it, letting the words drop to Amy before walking to join the others.
Despite the exhilaration of what had happened in the alleyway, the boat ride back to the hotel had been a quiet affair. Caleb clutched his umbrella and looked at Eliza, who was leaning back, staring out at the water, looking deep in thought and troubled. Caleb cleared his throat and tried to break the silence.
“What’s on your mind?” Seeing her round on him, eyes narrowing, he held up a hand, “I mean, you don’t have to share, just felt strange like you were holding something back.” He scratched his cheek, “You seemed so forthright all day that I wondered what might make you do that.”
“That your way of calling me a loudmouth?” Seeing his face flush, Eliza laughed, “I’m fucking with you, don’t take it so seriously.” She paused, “Guess I’m still myself, after all.” The way she said it made it clear it was directed to herself and not at Caleb before she looked up to face him, “I was just thinking about my exe. Had the last name Sterling, pretentious as fuck, but I loved the bastard.”
Caleb frowned, “You said he divorced you because he said you were boring?”
“During my PhD studies, yeah…I was never this-” She gestured at her current apparel, “But I would party, go out and have fun, do things on dares, when I started to study…I buckled down. I wanted it so badly, I was happy-stressed- but happy to be studying something I cared about. I thought he was happy for me, too.” The words were bitter, “Said I became an old woman in my twenties, how fucked is that? Well, I proved him right, acting like some corny fuddy-duddy professor-”
Caleb reached out and took her hand, “You were never boring, not as a professor or person. We always joked about how, despite your age, you were the youngest person in the philosophy department. You always made the class fun and lively. I wanted to teach because of your example. Your only mistake was marrying an ass who couldn’t appreciate you.”
Eliza stared into Caleb’s earnest expression before busting out laughing, “Oh wow! Looks like the corny is contagious.”
“-Hey!” Caleb frowned, “I’m being serious he-” his words were cut off by Eliza’s lips taking his. Not in the hungry way she had claimed them earlier, but softer and in a way that made the seconds stretch out before the two finally separated as the boat docked, and Eliza sparkled faintly as the transformation wore off. Her clothes didn’t change but as they separated, Caleb saw the softness in her expression as she reached up and bashfully tucked some hair behind her ear.
“So..” She managed to get out, “Dinner?”
Dinner was a quiet affair with the two enjoying their meal mostly in silence, both of them seemingly unsure of how to discuss anything after the hole was left by her earlier behaviour. Eventually, they found themselves upstairs, outside the bedroom, and Caleb reached over and took Eliza’s hand.
“Hey, I wanted to let you know today was really fun, but you don’t have to be that person for us to enjoy our time together.” He squeezed her hand and looked the professor in the eye.
Several emotions flew over Eliza’s features before she managed to say, “I wish I were more like that person.” Seeing Caleb about to open his lips she silenced him with a finger, “I spend so much time avoiding things, running away, I wish I had the strength to tackle things head on like that.”
Caleb stopped for a moment, “You do. You’re the one who told me, the transformation didn’t make you someone different, just strengthened parts that we normally don’t see. If you want to be that person, you can be because she is you.”
Eliza turned her eyes away wistfully, “Maybe…maybe you’re right.” She ran a hand gently over Caleb’s chest. “I’m still not sleeping with you.”
Caleb sputtered, “That is not why I said any of that!”
Laughing, Eliza pushed the door to the room open, “I know, I just wanted to see your expression…babe.” The blonde shot him a wink.
Getting into the room, the two separated, and Caleb began to get changed when he had tossed off his shirt, he heard Eliza call out to him, “Hey Caleb, can you help me out here?”
“Oh sure, just give me a mom-” Caleb turned and was struck mute by what he saw, stretched out on the bed, her hair in long tresses over the sheets, completely nude and staring up at him was Eliza, wet heat pooling between her legs. Caleb felt his mouth go dry. “Eliza…I thought-”
“Oh, I meant what I said.” Eliza smiled as she reached behind her pillow for the silver mask hidden behind it, “Tonight, you won’t be having sex with me.”
With a shimmering sparkle that spread from the tip of her head and ran down her body, Caleb watched as Eliza’s pale skin gave way to dark caramel tones, her features tightening, her cheekbones rising. The change flowed like water over her body until she was the spitting image of a nude Mira staring up at him with a smiling expression that sent shivers up Caleb’s spine.

“Eliza…what is this?” Caleb was struggling; something was off about all this, but there was something inherently sexy about the strangeness of the situation.
Mira-Eliza peeled herself up, her chest heaving, shifting her legs to show the moisture dripping down her thigh, “You don’t like this?” The voice was hers now too, musical, seductive, calling him towards her and he found himself arched over the bed near her.
“It’s not whether or not I like it…but isn’t it…” He searched for the word.
“Wrong? Oh yes…so wrong like we’re violating something sacred.” She leaned up and whispered into his ear, “Come on now, Caleb, doesn’t that make it better…don’t you want to…violate me?”
Inside Caleb, there was a council meeting, the council of Calebs convened where to send resources. Their options were as follows: direct attention to the vague, unsettling feeling that they couldn’t quite grasp, or send it down south and enjoy themselves. The council had been fairly split, and then over the loudspeaker, Mira’s voice rang out, repeating “violate me.” The leader of the council stressed the imperative nature of investigating the weird vibes they were getting to deaf ears, the resources were already directed in a landslide victory as Caleb took Eliza in his arms and kissed he, hands roaming over her exposed body as she moaned into his ear.
Eliza wrapped her legs around the Master’s waist, pulling him against her as she rocked her hips against the bulge straining in his pants. He leaned in and kissed her neck and she whispered hot into his ear, “S-stop wasting time and fuck me already.”
Caleb needed little convincing, and his hands shot down to undo his pants and to kick them behind him. Eliza-mira stared at him with hungry eyes as he aligned himself with the entrance of her hot moist sex and plunged himself into her hot folds.

As she was pierced, Eliza gave out a shriek as her fingers reached around to clutch and claw at Caleb’s back. She tucked her head against the crook of his neck and whispered, “Harder.”
Responding to her request, Caleb clutched her transformed, wide hips and brought them together with bruising **** as he grunted out in exertion. Her breath was hot against his ear, a mix of whines and moans directly against him before her voice pleaded louder, “Harder!” with such urgency.
There was something in the request, but Caleb was still so turned on by the situation that he gripped Eliza and turned her over, eliciting a sharp yelp as he repositioned so he was pushing her headfirst into the pillows, her fingers clutching the sheets as she roared, “Harder! Hit me!”
Caleb raised his hand and spanked her firm ass, causing it to shake as his hips continued to piston in and out of her as her insides clutched at him like a vice. As his hand came in contact with her backside, her insides clenched, and she let out a sharp cry like a dog in pain mixed with a moan.
She rolled her hips back to meet his thrusts and yelled out, “More, hit me! Harder.”
At this point, Caleb’s concern was beginning to mount, and he hesitated, resulting in Eliza turning her head back, “Come on! Do it! Hit! Me!”
Caleb brought his hand down, and she roared out again before groaning, “More! **** me! Hit me! I deserve it! I deserve-” her voice cut off, interrupted by a sharp sob rising from her chest as thick tears began to stain and flow down her cheeks. She separated from the master, and her hands rose up to mask her expression as she let out another sob, “I deserve it…” The transformation disguising her, flowed off, leaving the shuddering form of the blonde professor.
Caleb reached toward her, and she instinctively pulled away. Mustering his resolve, Caleb wrapped his arms around Eliza and pulled her gently against him. He didn’t ask what was wrong; he just held her there, their naked bodies held against each other as she wept, looking away from him.

They stayed like that for a long while, Eliza crying in Caleb’s embrace until she had no more tears to cry. Feeling her shuddering stop, Caleb leaned in and quietly asked, “Can we talk about it?”
“I don’t know what to say…I’m sorry, I just…everything all at once filled me, and I remembered and I…” Her words were disjointed and garbled, and Caleb just let her get it out.
“It’s ok, no matter what it is, I’m here…just take your time and tell me what’s wrong.” his words were soft, and Eliza looked into his eyes and was ready to start crying all over again as she told him all about what had happened to her.
Well its out now
