Chapter 20 by Ebanu8 Ebanu8

How does the clean-up proceed?

It takes two months

1255 AC (Aclian Calendar)
Fifth Month

Though King Aiden and much of the higher leadership of Torfun had been slain, many other Torfan nobles refused to accept that the kingdom would soon be conquered by the Monster Horde of Aclia. Princess Aednat had only the support of a quarter of the lower nobility - impoverished, ailing knights and lords struggling to make ends meet - and reluctantly admitted to Emperor Iozunk and Lord Chancellor Ferdinand that the Torfan nobility in general were far too proud and greedy to accept submission to another conqueror.

Not that it mattered; all Ferdinand and Kassandra cared about was slaughtering the corrupt nobility and robbing both their graves.

Thus began a very messy cleanup as a dozen rebellions were forcefully put down, the nobles slain and their mutilated corpses put on display. At other times, Diepkutter had the male noble corpses feasted upon in broad daylight by hungry pigs, forcing other terrified Humans to watch the gruesome display.

Noble families were dispossessed, disinherited and the womenfolk bartered away as war brides for lusty goblins and Orcs.

And in a shocking display of what many loyalists considered betrayal (on Aiden's side), Aednat willingly submitted to the Empire of Aclia, forgoing her crown and choosing to marry herself to Warchief Diepkutter to solidify the union. And so, yet another kingdom was wiped off the map, another conquest for the ever-growing Empire of Aclia.

What bureaucrats survived brought forth economical ledgers to facilitate the smooth integration of Torfun, toiling away as they always have for a better kingdom.

And now, the inner council of Aclia met in the war room of Dornham's royal palace, ready to discuss their next move.

"With all the land we've conquered, I'd say we're in a pretty good position," Kelvhan mentioned, "If we take at least ten years to integrate our conquests, found new colonies and get industry working again, we'll have more than enough money to fund several projects as we discussed prior."

"That's true, but we still have the Undead in Virnfaldur to worry about," Lord Bofurn reminded, "My agents say that there are no more Dwarves willing to migrate, and all have chosen to stay behind. Unless we want an Undead nest on our flank, we have to go and aid them now."

"What about the Elven City-State of Inkalmair?" Iozunk questioned, "Do we have to worry about any retaliation?"

"Uh, yeah. My scouts got bloodied up and they said an Elven army's on its way here," Diepkutter informed, "They're five thousand strong and will hit Dornham in about two weeks."

A string of curses erupted around the war room.

"While I'm sort of glad they finally grew a spine, this is the absolute worst time for them to be attacking," Iozunk said, "We've barely finished dealing with the rebels and the other fence sitters, and if they inflict a defeat on us, we'll likely lose the momentum we've had up until now. Not to mention we still have the Undead to worry about."

"The more important question is: Why is it that only now does Inkalmair finally do something?"

Aednat was brought in as part of this war council, owing to her familiarity with Torfun and local domestic affairs, not to mention her experiences dealing with the Elves.

"If only we all knew the answer," Kassandra grunted, "But this changes nothing; we kill the Elves, conquer Inkalmair and then turn on Virnfaldur."

"Then let's get moving."

The Inkalmairan army, as expected, was stuck on the same outdated methods of warfare as the other Elven armies, easily defeated with the use of firearms, superior tactics and quicker magic incantations.

With the main part of the army defeated, the Monster Horde turned its rage upon the Elven City-State, easily overwhelming its defences and conquering the city as part of their domain. Like before, Elven men and women were **** and forcefully impregnated, carrying the next generation within their wombs.

The Queen herself became little more than breeding stock, her pussy and ass stretched beyond their limits and dripping with semen.

Now, with this incessant distraction finally dealt with, they could focus on the Undead.

How does the war for Virnfaldur go?
