Double Date

Henry wasn't nearly as excited for this double date as I was. I can understand, him and Victoria don't exactly get along. But I truly do believe that they just need to spend some time together.

Well, this is awkward. The four of us are sitting in a restaurant, and Victoria has been glaring daggers at Henry the entire time.

"So Henry, do you have any hobbies that aren't lame?" she asked him. I was about to call her out but Mike beat me to it.

"Babe, be nice," he scolded.

"Henry's actually pretty good at tennis. He's shown me a few tricks," I said joyfully. Yes, that's a thing. Just because he's a nerd doesn't mean he's helpless with sports. He's actually a pretty big baseball fan.

"Y-yeah. I'm not good enough for a team, but I'm not terrible," he said. Damnit, he's stuttering again. He only does that when he's really nervous. This is starting to not seem like a great idea.

"Yeah right, I'm sure you only do it to perv on all the girls in short skirts," said Victoria. Wow, that was really uncalled for. The only person he pervs on is me.

That didn't come out right.

"What's your problem with me?" questioned Henry.

Oh no. I know that tone, he's angry.

"My problem with you is that someone like you has no business being with someone like Rose," snapped Victoria. I really, REALLY hate it when people talk like that. Being a nerd isn't a bad thing.

"You think I don't know that. Rose loves me, and I love her. It doesn't matter what social class we're in," he said.

"He has a point ba-" started Mike but Victoria cut him off.

"Yes, it DOES matter. You just being around her makes us all look bad," snapped Victoria. I was really starting to get pissed off.

"I don't give a damn about how it looks," I snapped at her.

"Well I do! He's ruining my reputation," she snapped.

Wait.

Please don't tell me.

"Is that why you're my friend, for your reputation?" I asked her. I really hope this wasn't the case. Please don't let this be the case.

"Duh. That's the only reason anyone is friends with you," she said.

My heart broke.

Victoria has been my friend since freshman year. But it was all fake.

She was using me.

I was broken out of my thoughts by a scream from Victoria. Her face was soaked in water, water that Henry spilled on her.

"Let's go," he said, holding his hand out to me. I hung my head and let him lead me outside, ignoring Victoria's screams.

When we got into the car, I cried.
