Friendship

Remember Victoria, my friend who doesn't like Henry all that much? Well, she's about to be very important.

We only had about 2 months left of school before graduation. Ever since I got back from my suspension, Henry has been sitting at the table with the popular kids.

Brad sits somewhere else. He's terrified of me.

Perhaps the biggest positive of this is that Henry found a friend in Victoria's boyfriend, Mike. The two are opposites, but they get along great.

Victoria still doesn't like Henry though.

"I just don't get what you see in him," she complained while the boys were talking about video games. I could easily follow the conversation, but I'm choosing not to.

"I keep telling you, he's a great guy," I said. We've had this conversation before, and I don't really like it.

"But he's so scrawny and weak. And his glasses are ugly," she said. I'm getting really tired of listening to this crap.

"Maybe I don't have the same taste in guys that you do. I'd never date a joke again," I said.

"Why not? Don't tell me he's turning you into a nerd," she said. I rolled my eyes.

"Yes, he is. I love that he's a nerd, and I love being a nerd," I snapped at her. That's when I had a stroke of genius.

A double date. If she can start to see how great Henry is, she'll finally stop bad mouthing him.

"I know, we'll do a double date. That way, you can see how great he is," I said. Victoria looked shocked, but eventually nodded.

"Fine," she said. I smiled before telling the boys.

This is going to be so much fun.
