Chapter 54

Shopping Spree
I sat back in a chair as I scrolled through my new alerts on my Company device. Eden floated over into my lap and watched, but didn't say anything. All told, I had damn near five hundred credits now, an absurd amount. Oh, and a voucher for a Perk on my Jewelry. The voucher itself was another potential goldmine. If I had a more expensive Binding, like Shroud, it could be worth over a hundred credits easily on its own, so long as I had the prerequisites for the Perk in question.
Looking through the big windows across the back of the room, I could see we hadn't turned yet, so still had some time before reaching the palace. Elsa and Hilde were likely using the horn to move us against the current, but it was a big island. Well, first things first. "Say goodbye Jafar." I sold the Vizier without a second thought, he wouldn't be causing any problems now. Ironically, that actually cost me credits. I'd gotten a good fifteen credits in rebates from him, and with him sold, they no longer counted. Not that that bothered me with the huge trove I had left.
Might as well use my voucher now, which meant buying some cheaper stuff until I got to something worth using it on. Designer Set was really potentially useful, basically giving anyone wearing my Tempest Jewelry **** fields. That required Luxury Goods first, which gave me more types of jewelry. A really good idea anyways, since the more types worn the stronger the armor from Designer Set was. I bought rings and necklaces. This would also increase the number of items I got per day, but with the amount of waifus I currently had, I was maxing my total anyways, though that would be higher now too. Since I had all this extra jewelry on hand, I decided it was a good time to buy Jewels Of Discord. The standard use of making people ignore that they were wearing my jewelry wasn't very interesting, but the secondary effect, where I could make an item irresistible to a target, could be invaluable. No need to trick someone into putting an item on when I could just leave something out in the open where they would see it, that they would just have to have, while everyone else ignored it. Magical bait traps, as it were. Almost last, and what I would use my voucher for, Absolute Order. Not only would anyone wearing my jewelry have to obey my orders, whether they wanted to or not. but it would relax a lot of limits on Body Runes. In fact, I'd be able to use Body Runes on someone who wasn't even captured yet. Easily the most expensive Perk I wanted, though I was tempted to grab Golden Idol instead, which cost more. Being able to turn my waifus into objects could wait though. Before I could buy Absolute Order though, I needed Aggressive Initiations, which wasn't honestly a bad one to have. Any orgasms given by me or a dominant member of my retinue, would reduce their capture counter. Now I could just slap a bracelet on someone and hand them over to Hilde, she'd orgasm them into submission in no time.
Well, there was one more thing that was Binding adjacent. Tempest Jewelry meant I could buy Apportation. Now everyone could teleport to me or another member's location, or straight to my extra-dimensional house, much like the cheshires. I could order anyone not in the house to teleport back so we could leave.
I still had a lot of credit left, and I'd been sitting on a wish list for my original Heritage for a while now. Fuck it. Artist's Lair would give me some actual real estate for my fictional background, turning an abandoned building or similar into a hideout. I had Hilde's castle here, but this would give me a base of operations in the next worlds. And what was a Lair without people to run it? Libertine Service would cause low-tier normies to join my service over time as Minions. And since I could set what type of cheap disposable labor I wanted, it would be young, good-looking women, of course. And to do one better, I also bought Fighting Flowers. Now a chunk of them would be Mooks instead, fully trained combatants.
It would take time to fill my ranks, as only so many would drift in per week, but having a lair for them to be drawn to would help. The best part is that each of these boosted my Heritage abilities as well. The Artist's Lair would give me Aesthetic Talent, making me an actual artist, not hugely useful, but a jeweler's skills would give my Princely Persona more credibility. More useful though, was the Covert Talent I got from Libertine Service, boosting my already pretty good skill at deceiving people. What's more, now I had Talent Sharing for Athletics, Covert, and Performance Talents, so all my Waifus and Minions gained them. Better still, Fighting Flowers gave Talent Sharing for Martial and Wild talents, so now all of my companions could rapidly gain combat and wilderness skills. It also would have given me Martial Talent as well, but since I already had it I got a rebate instead. Now Minions didn't work very well on their own, they needed me to lead them. Unless I bought The Lieutenants. Now I could put appropriate companions in charge of different groups to good effect. Cassandra, for example, could lead my Mooks in battle just fine. Snow and Ella could even make the normal Minions passable maids with their direction. There were other specialties for other types of Minions, but that was enough for now. Last thing, I went and bought Dungeon, which would upgrade my hideout to full capability so I could establish portals to my house and other boosts I could buy with Devotion, and I had a lot of companions I could set to that work instead of just twiddling their thumbs back home.
Speaking of home, I had the credits left to throw some more upgrades there too. Another level of Sweet Home doubled its size, but also let me buy Grand Manor. Now a proper mansion, the house had twelve hundred square meters of floor space with living and training spaces, plus workshops as well. Setting Hilde up with her own specialty workshop would be a priority. That came with a nice chunk of grounds to go with the manor, but I could do better. Life's A Beach would give me twenty hectares of customizable land with a nice lake for the mermaids.
All that and I still had over a hundred credits left. One last splurge, cause why not. A second level of Drain Defense meant I and my retinue were immune to vitality, mana, and soul-draining effects. But more, it meant I could now buy Inexhaustible. Now I would never run out of inner mystical energies. Once I learned magic, I could cast spells all day with no sweat. It was a really expensive Perk, but so worth it. I hoped. I'd never really actually dived into magic systems before. If I needed magic, I generally found it easier to just capture a mage and have her do it. But running The Gauntlet, I'd decided I needed to be as self-sufficient as possible. It was entirely possible I'd have to start over on each new world by myself. Mastering magic could be the difference between life and **** on later tiers.
"Good choices." Eden whispered into my ear.
I looked up into her dark eyes. Did she know about the Company? That was a scary thought. Maybe she was just reading over my shoulder and was too smart for my own good. Glancing over at the windows again showed me both that the trio had crashed out on the big bed while I was shopping, and that we were sliding into port at the palace. forty credits left that I could always spend later. "Time to pick up my last Princess and then head home."
The green-skinned woman in my lap looked excited. "And then we fuck? I haven't gotten laid in two thousand years, I'm dying here." She smiled, and her breasts expanded, pulling the thin pink tube top extremely taunt. Mmmm, shapeshifters.
"Oh yeah, and then we fuck."
