Chapter 8 by Wizzard Wizzard

Will she be allowed to be on the island?

Not really!

The same moment Lexy’s pod streaked like a falling star through the tropical sky, a hunting party of Amazons reined their horses to a sudden halt on a jungle trail. Kaela, the leader, shielded her eyes against the sun, her breath catching. No bird, no dragon they knew, moved like *that* – a silver spear trailing fire and smoke, screaming towards the western shore. "A sky-demon?" breathed Lyra, nocking an arrow, her knuckles white. "Or a god’s chariot broken loose?" Kaela didn’t answer, her gaze fixed on the terrifying trajectory. The island’s ancient wards had always kept the metal birds of men beyond their skies; this was an omen, raw and violent. "To the beach!" Kaela barked, wheeling her stallion. "At the gallop! Whatever falls, we meet it first!" Hooves pounded the earth, churning sand as they burst from the jungle onto the blinding white shore just as the pod hit the water with a thunderous geyser.

Lexy hauled herself onto the beach, gasping, seawater streaming from her seven-foot frame. The sheer physicality of her new form hit her – the raw power in her limbs, the unfamiliar weight swinging heavily between her thighs. Before she could even push her wet hair from her eyes, the thunder of hooves became a roar. From the jungle's edge to her left, Kaela’s hunting party exploded onto the sand, spears leveled, horses snorting. Simultaneously, from the rocky headland to her right, a second patrol appeared, bows drawn, arrows tipped with lethal obsidian points. And directly ahead, where the beach curved, a third group materialized, dismounting smoothly, forming a bristling wall of shields and swords. Three parties. Thirty Amazons. The air crackled with tension, every weapon aimed at the colossal, naked stranger who had fallen from the sky.

Kaela urged her stallion forward, separating from her sisters. Her eyes, sharp as flint, raked over Lexy’s immense height, the powerful musculature, the water-slicked skin. Kaela’s knuckles whitened on her spear. "No *man*," she snarled, her voice cutting through the surf's hiss, cold and final as a tombstone, "shall set foot upon the sacred soil of Themyscira and live." She kicked her horse into a sudden, brutal charge, spear tip lowering, aimed unerringly at Lexy’s heart. The intent was absolute: a swift, clean kill.

Lexy didn’t flinch. She simply turned her massive frame fully towards the charging warrior, seawater sluicing down her legs. As Kaela closed the final yards, spear point gleaming, Lexy made a single, dismissive gesture with her left hand – a lazy wave, as if shooing a fly. "Not a man, love," Lexy stated, her voice a low rumble that carried easily over the pounding hooves. Her tone held no fear, only weary amusement.

Kaela hauled back on the reins with brutal ****. Her stallion reared, hooves kicking up sand only feet from Lexy, the spear tip wavering wildly. The horse snorted, eyes rolling. Kaela’s own gaze snapped downward, past Lexy’s powerful torso, her eyes widening in shock. Confusion warred with disbelief on her face. The colossal figure before her was utterly female in build, powerfully muscled, yet undeniably possessed… *that*. Something impossible. Something no man carried, yet no Amazon she knew bore either. An Atlantean trick? A monstrous Olympian joke? She’d expected a man, or perhaps a beast. This… this was neither. Her knuckles were white on the spear shaft. "What… *are* you?" she demanded, her voice tight, lacking its earlier certainty. The surrounding Amazons shifted, weapons lowering slightly, uncertainty rippling through their ranks. Who *was* this giant who fell from the sky?

Lexy met Kaela’s stunned gaze, a flicker of predatory amusement in her own eyes. She ignored the spear, the ring pulsing faintly warm on her finger. "What I am," Lexy stated, her voice a deep, confident rumble that silenced the murmurs, "is exactly what your island needs. Now, stop gawking." She made a sharp, dismissive gesture towards the jungle. "Take me to your Queen. I've got business." Her tone brooked no argument, the command of someone utterly certain of their dominance.

Kaela recoiled as if struck. The sheer audacity! "Bind her," she barked, the order sharp, betraying her inner turmoil. "Use the Atlantean cords. Lets take her to the Queen." That is the only thing that made sense even if the intruder told her to do.

Will the Queen approve her to stay?
