Doom Is Pleased With Sue Storm's Adultery

The holographic image of Doctor Doom's masked face was inscrutable as he reviewed Moonstone's weekly report. "The goal is the destruction of the Fantastic Four as a coherent unit and family," Doom said slowly. "Reed Richards must be so betrayed, the gulf between husband and wife, brother and sister, friend and friend, is irrevocably severed. Your task is to corrupt her into this position. One that she cannot escape from."

Moonstone let out a long, slow breath.

"I mean, that's one option, sure," she said. "But it's going to take a lot more than some public indecency to achieve. I mean, a divorce is one thing, give me a month, maybe six weeks, and I can have her ready to file the papers, be her shoulder to cry on...we'd take the kids, and they'd just be the Terrific Three. That, uh, that's another option to consider."

There was silence on the line.

"If you have developed feelings for Susan Storm, and wish to play house, that is your affair. But simply removing her from the Fantastic Four is insufficient. Richards has replaced his wife on the team with others in the past. He would simply do so again. What we need is more than mere divorce. It has to be a betrayal. A fundamental rift that breaks his reality. I do not care if she becomes your wife or your sex-**** at the end of it, but she must do more than simply file for divorce and gain custody of the children."

Moonstone gnawed her lower lip. The blonde could sense the edges of a clinical obsession that ran deep. She took a deep breath.

"Okay," she said slowly. "I understand. I can think of one way to do this. But I will need additional resources."

"Whatever you require," the Latverian monarch said. "So long as it is done."
