Annabelle, a gas station worker

Annabelle was a 22 year-old girl working at a gas station; she had just dropped out of college because she couldn't afford it. She was down on her luck but living with a few of her friends. It's just a normal day, with a long shift ending as she gets ready to clock out, when she gets a notification on her phone from... some weird new app.

"What the hell is this?"

Annabelle looks through her phone and sees a weird app with a logo of a seductive silhouette of a woman on it: Gem Ladies. She's worried she got hacked, or it's some sort of malware, so she puts her phone away for a second and clocks out.

As she sits down in her car, she opens up her phone again and thinks to tap on it, see what this weird app is all about.

"Congratulations, you have been selected by our new app: Gem Ladies™. A new app guaranteed to improve your life." The pop-up on her phone says in big pink letters, in almost too small to see letters below that, it reads: "Gem Ladies™ is not responsible for any bugs or errors in coding, this software is still in beta at this time."

"Weird... well, that must be how it got on my phone, must've been a glitch. Maybe I was on the app store when my phone was in my pocket." She says as she starts her car, beginning the drive home.
