Chapter 2 by DubiousSintax DubiousSintax

Whose story do we follow?

Four friends on a girls weekend

The group of young women were excited to finally be hanging out together again after all these years, even if each of them had their reservations about the weekend away together. Inseparable back in college, in recent years their lives had drifted apart, the realities of adulting having pulled each in their own direction, and away from each other. Still, when the opportunity to get away for a couple of days together arose, each jumped at the chance, hoping to recapture some of the fun and excitement of their younger years and perhaps find a little youthful inspiration again, in their increasingly grown up lives.

They had decided to book an AirBnb out of town, locating a beautiful, old, country-style house with all the modern conveniences as well as an open fire place, hot tub and even a quaint hanging swing seat on the porch. Unsurprisingly their busy lives had them running late before they had even left the city on the Friday evening, and by the time the four of them pulled into town the grocery store was closed. Without supplies and no other option, the young women reluctantly decided to try the only place that was open - the local bar. They dropped off their bags at the house and after a quick look around, headed out on foot, laughing and reminiscing on the short walk back into town.

Despite their shared past, each of the women were from quite different backgrounds and their values and life goals varied greatly.

Olivia was a slim brunette, tall and willowy compared to her friends. A creative girl, she had dreamed of becoming a singer and had even performed several gigs around the coffee bars in her local area. Unfortunately the demands of life soon all but quashed those hopes and dreams, the need to pay the rent and bills pushing her into long hours of shift work that increasingly ate into her time to practice and create.

Kelly was the most outgoing of the group, her stunning good looks making her one of the most popular girls in college. Her dark skin gave her an exotic edge over her friends and her immaculately manicured hair and nails lent her an air of sophistication and confidence that the others lacked. Kelly's ambition was to succeed in the corporate world, to become a wealthy and powerful business woman but frustratingly, working her way up the corporate ladder was a far slower process than she had imagined. Still stuck in a secretarial role, Kelly was already sick of being bossed around by men, making their coffees and collecting their dry cleaning.

Sarah on the other hand had a far more traditional outlook on life - from a strict religious family, the athletic young blonde was already engaged and well on the path to a nuclear family and a house in the suburbs. While she loved the idea and craved the safety of such a life, part of her felt she had missed out on experiences that her friends had not. She couldn't help but feel a little jealous of them sometimes and she occasionally fantasised about acting out and doing something out of character, something naughty, just to see how it felt.

Penelope, or Penny as she preferred to be called was an almost stereotypically bookish redhead, quieter and less outgoing than her friends but posessing a cheeky wit that never failed to get a laugh. She was a little chubbier than the others whose model like figures made her self conscious, resulting in Penny covering up in oversized, plain clothing that hid her curves. In fact, any that bothered to look a bit more closely would see that Penny was stacked, blessed with a huge pair of breasts and thick, milky white thighs hidden beneath her frumpy garb. With dreams of becoming an author, Penny spent a lot of time at home alone, often online reading and writing fan fiction or chatting on Discord.

The women found the bar to be disgusting and the leering locals made them uncomfortable at first, but they persevered, ordering food and drinks and doing their best to relax and enjoy their evening. After a few rounds of drinks they had relaxed a bit and were actually having fun, picking songs on the jukebox and dancing together. As the night wore on and the drinks kept flowing, their defences started to slip and they stopped being so cautious, even engaging in some playful banter with some of the locals. It wouldn't take long for one of them to become separated from the others.

Who's night do we follow?
