Lunch time, with distractions

Zack was definitely in a good mood while he and Brandon grilled the burgers on the deck. Chloe and Gavin already had called him on it and now his other friend was starting to throw him weird looks every once in a while.

“Ok, out with it,” Brandon finally said, interrupting a happy whistle. “What happened that got you into such a giddy mood?”

Zack smiled. “Am I showing it that much?”

“Dude,” Brandon grinned. “I’m worried that you’re gonna start doing happy dances here.”

Zack laughed, he wished that he could tell Brandon what happened, but doing so he would also have to reveal that he and Victoria had spied on him and Ashley having sex.

“Don’t worry, I think I just woke up on the right side of bed.” He repeated his earlier lie. “Besides that, I keep reminding of Kurt’s reaction when Victoria woke him up because of the water that Heather and I poured on them.”

Brandon nodded and grinned. “That was funny as hell, indeed.” He then got back to focus his attention on the grill.

Zack glanced to his side at the windows, he could see Victoria and Heather working diligently at the kitchen with Chloe and Ashley helping them. Victoria had insisted that she wanted to cook the steaks her own way, so they were inside preparing it with the rest of the food.

”I wonder if it’s not just an excuse to avoid me after what we’ve done.” He thought.

“So, my sister just called,” Ashley said as she pulled a few plates from the cupboard. “She’s coming to the lake on the weekend with some of her friends.”

“Yeah, we ran into her and Zack’s sister in the store earlier.” Victoria said morosely while she watched her steaks with attention.

“Cool!” Chloe piped in. “Taylor’s really great.”

As they chatted, Heather was observing Victoria. The blonde seemed to be pretty tired like Zack said, but Heather knew better, she was almost sure that Victoria was embarrassed by something.

”Something definitely happened between them,” The busty cheerleader surmised. ”The question is what happened.”

“I was thinking, what are we going to do later?” Chloe asked.

Heather quickly turned to her. “Today I don’t know,” She answered. “But tomorrow I thought it would be nice to go hiking.”

“Great, I love hiking!” The redhead exclaimed excitedly. “Are there any good trails here?”

“It used to have, at least,” Heather cocked her head to one side with a thoughtful expression. “I’m gonna check it out later.”

Then her mind flashed an image of Zack and her walking in the woods alone. She shook her head. ”What the hell was that?”

While Zack and Brandon minded the grill, Gavin was sitting near them playing on his phone. Normally his attention would be fully into exterminating the hordes of enemies on the game, but he was finding it difficult to do so that morning.

The reason for this, the young man didn’t even have to think to know that it was Chloe. Ever since that morning when he woke up with a handful of her tits, his old friend was replacing Heather on his mind at an alarming speed.

Gavin always had only games and studies on his mind, and then a few months ago he started noticing Heather and developed a small crush on her. He chalked it up as normal, since he supposed that a lot of guys had some sort of crush on the cheerleader captain. However, Chloe was different, she was a long time friend for starters, and thus the only girl that he was capable of talking without stammering. ”Surely I can’t be falling for her, can I?”

He thought about the possibility of those new feelings having surfaced by Chloe being the first girl that he touched intimately, but he couldn’t find an answer in the end.

It was one of the few times in his life that Gavin couldn’t find a solution to one of his problems.

About half an hour later, they joined the tables on the deck so everyone could sit and they began to eat their lunch, even Kurt, though he remained silent. When Zack and Brandon said that the burgers were ready, they were glad that Victoria had remembered to buy bread at the grocery store.

As they ate all the food that was prepared by the guys on the grill and the girls in the kitchen, Heather took the chance to watch Zack and Victoria closely. They were sitting a bit far from each other, but the brunette was able to pick some more signals that they had done something.

Every once in a while, they would stare at each other when they thought the other wasn’t looking, Victoria blushing every time that Zack’s eyes caught hers. Heather thought that she even saw the blonde give a little smile once.

”Dammit!” She cursed on her mind. ”Why does the thought of them together is bothering me so much all of a sudden?!”

The image of Zack and her in the woods came back to her again and she selfishly decided to drag him with her to the woods later.
