Chapter 76 by Vain Vain

What's happening next then...?

Dark clouds approaching

After almost an hour out by the lake, Gavin was the first one to notice a slight change to the air as the wind was slowly picking up in speed. And as he glanced up the otherwise clear blue sky he could see some dark clouds approaching on the horizon, which he found a bit odd as the weather map had promised them almost two full weeks of the most beautiful weather out here.

Upon checking on his phone he found they'd chanced it now to local rain and thunderstorms - and by the looks of it, that was quite exactly what was about to happen right now...

The heavy black clouds came rushing in towards the little lake at surprising speed, and even with Gavin warning them, the friends just barely made it to the cabin before the first raindrops started pattering against the roof and windows.

"Well, that's just perfect..." Said Brandon as he looked up at the darkening skies through the double doors that led out to the outdoor deck. He hadn't even had time to dry up a little after his bath, and had really looked forwards to a whole day out in the sun. But then again, he'd rarely said no to a cozy time with friends indoors, and he noticed some of the others were already trying to blow some life in the fireplace while Heather was fetching beer from the fridge.

Perhaps this wasn't such a bad timing after all...?

Not everyone enjoyed the sudden darkness outside however, and especially Vicky was getting visibly uneasy when they heard the first sign of rolling thunder at a distance. Soon it was going to get worse, and the cute blonde was surprisingly quick at sweeping her first can of beer to calm her nerves a bit, which in turn caused some of the others to try and keep up - as if just to make sure she didn't get too much of a head start.

And with most of them becoming just a little bit tipsy, it wasn't long before they were all gathered in the living room again, with the chatting and laughter getting louder in step with the thunder coming closer outside. It really did seem to become a nice evening after all, as long as nothing else went wrong than the bad weather...

Meanwhile, Kurt had finally stopped the car to get something to eat. He'd been driving for quite some time before even realizing he hadn't eaten a breakfast yet, and he was **** to pull over at one of those little road shacks along the way.

He was still seething over the incident back at the cabin while eating a couple of hot sandwiches, and not even the busty young waitress managed to distract him for long while he kept thinking about how to get back at his cousin and that false little blonde who'd set him up like that. He wasn't quite so egocentric as to be unable to see his own faults however, and he had to admit that the girl had played her cards well to eventually outsmart him.

That didn't make him any less annoyed about it though, and he weighted his options between heading straight back home and hope the others had a terrible time out by the cabin, or heading back there to see if his cousin would listen to reason and allow him back inside again. But if he picked the latter it would definitively take a lot of acting to make her believe he was regretful about his actions, and then he'd have to try and build up the others trust in him from scratch - before eventually having his chance for sweet **** on that uppity blonde girl...

Thus he'd nearly decided to just keep driving back home, when he happened to hear about the change of weather on the radio. It gave him a couple of ideas, though some of them more wicked than others, and he suddenly felt like he couldn't quite pass up on the challenge at least.

But first he'd be needing some extra supplies, and he figured he could as well take a trip back to the closest town while working out the details for his eventual comeback...

Back at the cabin again...?
