October
A New Home
Emily, Sandra and I have moved into our new house. The contractors have finished the remodel a month early. It's beautiful, they did a fantastic job. Hardwood floors throughout. Wood panel waist high wainscoting in the living and dining room. Eggshell white functioning antique appliances and granite counter tops in the kitchen. Lighted ceiling fans in the living, dining and the bedrooms. Oh and you can adjust the lighting from dim to bright. Hidden rooms in our bedrooms behind false walls in our walk in closets for our coffins.
Out back there's a barn with three horse stables and we have ten acres of land to ride on.
We handed over our old house to the Town of Worthington a few days before moving in.
I love our new two story brick Victorian and the fact that we moved in mid October makes it even better. I love this time of year so much. The way the leaves turn color before falling from the trees, the crisp Autumn air. Then there's my favorite holiday Halloween. Sandra and I carved a couple of Jack-O-Lanterns and placed them flanking the stone walkway leading up to the front porch. There are a couple of rocking chairs on the front porch and we put plastic skeletons in both of them.
I'm even adjusting my feeding schedule so I can be home to hand out candy to all the trick or treaters. Imagine the irony of that, a real vampire handing out Halloween candy. I even went out and bought a Dracula costume complete wth cape. Of course I don't need the plastic fangs when I've got the real McCoy's
Yes I love Halloween
