Time to order
Tyrone?
Just then, our waitress for the evening came over. But before she could take our orders, she paused, a look of surprise crossing her face as her eyes landed on Tyrone.
“Oh my god – Tyrone? Is that you?”
We both looked up at the sound of her voice, surprise evident on both of our faces. As I took in the girl’s appearance, I realized that she looked to be about the same age as Tyrone, her dark hair pulled up into a messy bun and a friendly smile on her face.
Tyrone’s own grin widened as he took her in, recognition lighting his eyes. “Hey, Jessica,” he said, standing to pull her in for a hug. “It’s good to see you. How have you been?”
The girl – Jessica – laughed at that, returning his embrace before pulling away. “Oh, you know,” she said with a shrug. “Just trying to get through college. What about you? How have you been?”
They chatted for a few moments, catching up on each other’s lives while I watched with interest. It was obvious that they knew each other well, and curiosity had me wondering how they were acquainted.
Who's Jessica?

Life of the Divorcee
It begins
After many years of marriage, Brenda Barker never imagined she’d be starting over. But when her husband ditches her after she's caught cheating at the local health spa Brenda is left with a modest house, an overgrown garden, and a long-overdue reckoning with who she really is. What begins as a shaky stumble into singlehood—burnt dinners, awkward solo brunches, and tearful nights with wine and reruns—soon becomes a bold exploration of self. With the unexpected help of her two teenage sons, and new neighbours, Brenda rediscovers not just joy, but a version of herself she hadn’t seen in decades.
