Do you agree to see him again?

*I can’t stop thinking about you, either,* I admitted, my cheeks flushing as I hit send.
*Then it’s settled,* Tyrone replied. *We need to see each other again. Soon.*
I bit my lip, my heart pounding in my chest. Was I really going to do this? Was I really going to throw caution to the wind for a young man I had just met?
*Okay,* I typed out, my hands shaking. *When?*
*How about Saturday?*
I frowned. Saturday was the day my kids had their karate tournament. There was no way I could get away.
*I can’t,* I replied. *My kids have something that day.*
*How about Friday night, then?
*Great. I’ll pick you up at 7?*
*I can meet you,* I replied quickly. There was no way I was going to let him pick me up at my house. My kids couldn’t know about us.
*Where?*
I thought for a moment, trying to come up with a place that was discreet, but still public enough that I wouldn’t feel awkward.
*How about that new Italian place downtown?*
*Sounds perfect. See you there, beautiful.*
I set my phone down, my heart hammering in my chest. What was I getting myself into? But even as I wondered, I couldn’t deny the excitement that coursed through me. I was really doing this. I was really going to see Tyrone again.
And I couldn’t wait.
