With all four guys at the cabin

"Where's Ash anyways...?" Asked Zack after a while, as he and Brandon seemed to run out of interesting subjects to talk about. He'd suddenly remembered that his friend had been asking about her before joining the rest of them in the kitchen, and when he looked around he realized that someone else had been gone for a little while as well. "And where's Vicky...?"

"They're probably off to the lake or something." Brandon answered, with a sour expression on his face, but also a glimmer of sudden purpose. He'd barely seen his girlfriend since after they arrived here, and with Heather seeming completely wasted this morning he found that he was truly missing her loving company. "I'd better go check on them!"

"Sounds like a good idea." Zack was quick to agree, with that uneasy feeling in his stomach again. He hadn't seen Heather's rowdy cousin for the entire morning, nor his own friend Chloe, and now with the other girls gone as well he immediately started worrying that the guy had been sneaking out and gone looking for trouble...

There was no point in all of them just rushing to the lake however, and so he'd prefer to try and split up in their search. But then again, he didn't want to involve Brandon in the business about Kurt, or the guy would get even more worried about the whereabouts of his girlfriend - and most likely for no actual reason at all. Even a guy like Kurt would have the mind to keep his hands off of Ashley, right? Just like Ash wouldn't be easily swayed from Brandon's side by some douchebag stranger...

"I guess I'll go with you." Gavin surprised the two of them by finally tucking away his phone, and then getting on his feet right next to Brandon. "I feel like I need to stretch my legs a bit, and I never even went there yesterday."

It seemed like a fully legitimate explanation, and Zack couldn't be any happier about knowing that at least someone he trusted would be able and keep an eye open for him. He'd even thought it was merely a coincidence though, if it wasn't for the knowing glance that his friend gave him before heading out through the kitchen door. Sometimes it was easy to forget about Gavin's incredible intellect, while he was constantly submerged in one of his geeky toys, but then he would suddenly snap right out of it and just know exactly how find a solution for a difficult situation - sometimes even before it had been realized by anyone else...

"Thanks, Gavin!" Zachary mouthed gratefully at his old friend, and then watched him leave with Bran. They sure made a strange pair together, but then it was also deeply reassuring to know that they'd be able and handle most to any problems together. Not that it was likely they'd get in some kind of fight with Kurt or something, but between one brilliant brain and the other's muscles there was no need for Zack to worry about any eventualities down by the lake...

That left the cabin for himself to search though, and he started by having a quick look in his own room. The fact that Chloe was gone troubled him deeply of course, though at least he was much relieved to find Kurt still sleeping in his and Victoria's.

So that meant they'd just have to find the missing girls, and he'd already forgotten that Heather should still be around somewhere as he started looking through the other rooms...
