Chapter 4 by PageFluffa PageFluffa

Who goes first?

Jen!

Jen and Drew both rolled double sixes, but Jen won the re-roll 11-5.

"Looks like the dice are hot tonight!" said Jen.

Drew smiled. Jen could be draining, pushing him out of his comfort zone by wearing down his resistance, but whenever he was able to put aside his worries, sit down and relax, he loved to drink in her enthusiasm. He shared in her joy as she rolled yet another pair of sixes, pumping her fist. Erin smiled politely as Jen jumped ahead to an early, while Leo remained neutral. She picked up a card.

"You're going too quickly, it's time to slow down / Retrace half your steps, though it may make you frown / You may yet make up for this first turn stumble / Now double your load to keep yourself humble."

"What does that mean?" asked Erin, suppressing a giggle.

"I guess I have to go back by half?" said Jen.

She pulled the cat back to the sixth square and sighed.

"Pride goes before the fall, I guess."

"What does 'double your load' mean?" murmured Leo. "Are there still pieces inside the box?"

"Goooood question." Jen looked sideways at the box. "I don't think we're missing anything, the rules just said to roll, pick a card, and follow whatever it tells yo—"

She cut off suddenly and clutched her stomach.

"What's wrong, dear?" said Drew.

"Probably just a stomachache," grunted Jen.

She took a deep breath and sat up.

"I'm fine, just..."

She paused in the middle of massaging her belly. It stuck out a lot more than she thought it did.

"Mom?" said Erin.

"I'm fine," she repeated.

Despite the reassurance, her mouth-breathing sounded like she had just sprinted to the table. She turned to face Drew and **** a grin.

"Come on, dear, it's your turn, roll the dice and..."

She placed her hand on her husband's, but doing so made the flab on her arms ripple like waves and audibly smack against the table. Both Drew and Jen noticed, and their reactions immediately told the kids something was up.

"Mom, can I get you a glass of water?" cut in Erin.

Jen stood up, and her whole body sagged when she got off the chair.

"No need, sweetie, I can get it myself."

She slowly inched her way towards the door, trying to minimize unnecessary movement. The further she got, the more stiff her movement became, as her pants creaked. She stopped altogether and grabbed her heavy buttocks to keep them from straining against her pants.

"What the fuck is going on?" she whispered to herself.

Then, all of a sudden, she slipped.

RRRRIP!

Her reflexes kicked in and her knees buckled, and though she caught herself on her hands and knees, a big hole in the seat of her pants opened for her whole family to see. Drew shot out of his chair.

"Honey, are you okay?!"

With surprising agility, Jen jumped to her feet and raced from the room, her sleeves ripping and her cheeks bouncing as her pants slipped down to show her whole ass spilling out of her underwear as she fled.

Drew ran after her as their children's mouths hung open.

They chased through the hallway to the bathroom, where Jen shut herself away. Drew skidded to a halt and tried to go in after her, but something incredibly heavy was blocking the door.

"What's going on?! Jen, please tell me!"

He heard a short SNAP from behind the door. A few seconds of silence passed. Then he began to hear weeping. Drew tried to open the door again, this time able to slide the door past a massive shank of a leg, which skidded behind the door as Drew stepped in.

"Jen?"

He leaned around the door. Before he could take in what he was seeing, Jen quickly covered her chest as tears dropped onto it. She hadn't been this embarrassed showing her body since their early dating years decades behind them. It was hard to blame her though. While Jen had certainly become overweight in the past few years, few would describe her as anything more than 'chubby.' Going from under 200 pounds to over 350, she was now certifiably obese, double chin, belly folds and all. Next to her sat a torn pair of pants, a torn shirt, an intact bra, and between her legs was her underwear, which judging by its frayed ends, had been the source of the snapping. Drew tried to look calm, but seeing such a miraculous change in the flesh was not an experience that was easy to recover from. He reached out and took her hands, trying not to linger on how uncomfortably meaty they felt. Pulling her to her feet caused her enormous store of belly fat to tremble. He tried to meet her eyes, but she walked past him to look in the mirror. She choked on her tears and turned around.

"How did it get this bad?"

Drew shook his head.

"What? No! It's not, you never..."

"Oh come on, Drew, look at me!"

"No, really, you didn't look even close to that earlier tonight! This didn't happen because of one meal, it..."

He thought about it. No, it couldn't be. The game?

Jen's tears seemed to stem as she seemed to understand something.

"Something's seriously wrong with me."

"Then we should bring you to urgent care!" said Drew.

"No."

Jen wiped off the last of her tears.

"I don't know if this is an allergic reaction, a digestive problem, or..."

She clenched the fist that had thrown her dice just a minute ago.

"...some kind of curse. We won't be able to fix this tonight anyways."

"Then you should get some rest," said Drew.

"I'm fine!" Jen **** a smile. "Let's go back, the kids are waiting. Oh, but... could I borrow some clothes?"

When Drew and Jen reentered the dining room, Jen had one of Drew's old t-shirts on, from when he was at his heaviest, which still managed to be a somewhat snug fit, especially trying to pull them over her deflated beach-ball breasts. Down under, even Drew's old pants wouldn't fit, so she had a towel wrapped around her bottom, barely covering what needed covering.

"I think your Mom had an allergic reaction," said Drew quietly.

"Um Dad? What the f—" started Leo.

"WE'LL VISIT THE CLINIC TOMORROW," said Drew, raising his voice over Leo.

He picked up the dice.

"Until then, Mom should be fine."

He felt something big and soft press into his cheek. He turned around and saw Jen smiling. It took him a moment to realize that she had kissed him; it felt so different. The corners of his mouth lifted slightly. This was still the woman he married. Erin and Leo gave each other looks as Drew tossed the dice.

What happens on Drew's turn?
