The trio has a talk

Lunch was an interesting affair for Zack. Everyone got back from where they had gone to and then Victoria and Heather made lunch. Actually, the two of them were the ones responsible for his curious time while eating.

While Victoria alternated between giving him adoring looks and a few sexy ones, Heather sometimes glanced at him with a longing look on her face. He sighed, Zack never wanted to make her sad, but there was no other way.

”Heather will just have to deal with the fact that I like Victoria.” He thought.

He then glanced at Gavin, maybe he could kill two birds with only one stone. He decided to talk to Gavin that afternoon to see where his friend stood on that matter. But he also desperately needed to talk to Victoria.

After everybody ate and the dishes were washed, Ashley dragged Victoria to her room, robbing Zack of the chance to talk to the green eyed blonde once again. He shrugged and went to the deck, sitting on one of the lounging chairs with a great view to Silver Lake.

Eventually Chloe and Gavin joined him, so they moved to a table near the hot tub. After all three were seated, Chloe grinned maniacally at Zack.

“So Zack, I hear congratulations are in order,” She said in a teasing tone. “Victoria told me and Ashley what you guys did last night.”

Zack raised an eyebrow. “She did?”

Chloe nodded. “I know, not the kind of kinky stuff that I wanted to know about my best friend, but I can be happy for you.”

“You managed to snag your crush on our first day here?” Gavin asked, awed. “Way to go, dude. If only I had the same kind of luck.”

”So I was right, he has a crush on Heather.” Zack thought.

“Are you gonna tell Zack, Gavin?” Chloe asked.

“Yep, I figure that my best friend needs to know this.” Gavin answered before taking a deep breath. “I told this to Chloe earlier and now I’m telling you,” He looked around first, as if to make sure no one was listening. “I have a crush on Heather, Zack.”

Now if Zack was relieved for managing to rebuff Heather’s advances, now he felt a million times better. Gavin would never forgive him if he had fucked Heather. And now that he knew about his friend’s feelings, he could execute his plan.

He smiled. “I kind of already picked that up, Gavin. I saw how you acted around her, it’s similar to how I act around Victoria.” Zack told him. “And I happen to have a piece of information that might interest you.”

Gavin and Chloe moved to the edge of their chairs, intrigued by what Zack had to say. “What do you mean, Zack?” Chloe asked.

“Heather kinda told me this morning that she’s tired of the douchebags that she usually dates and is now ready to look for a good guy.” Zack said, leaning back on his chair.

Gavin grinned wickedly. “Wow, maybe now it’s my chance then.”

“I don’t know, Gavin.” Chloe chimed in. “I’m not sure about this, I still think that dating someone like Heather could end badly for you.”

Gavin looked annoyed. “Damn it, Chloe, don’t you want me to be happy?”

“I do!” The redhead shot back. “That’s why I’m trying to look out for you, I’m keeping my opinion that you’d end up really hurt if you go after Heather.”

Zack was silent during that entire exchange, he had to make sure that Gavin didn’t found out that Heather liked him. He thought that Chloe was right, Gavin would get hurt if he pursued Heather now with all guns blazing. But if he took things slow, to make Heather fall in love with him with time, then Zack supposed that his friend had a chance.

“If I can offer an advice, Gavin,” Zack interrupted their argument. “Don’t go spilling out your guts to Heather now, you have to take your time, be smooth with her.”

Gavin laughed. “Me? Smooth?” He asked, exasperated. “Have you forgot to whom you’re talking, Zack?”

With that, he stood up and walked back inside briskly. Zack’s eyes found Chloe’s and both of them sighed.

“He doesn’t want to understand that their relationship is doomed to fail if it happens.” Chloe stated. “He would never keep up with someone like Heather.”

Zack nodded. “And to make things worse for everyone, Heather kissed me today.”

Chloe’s eyes widened. “She did what?”

“Don’t worry, I rejected her,” Zack was quick to explain. “But that’s why I think that Gavin’s in for a heartbreak if he doesn’t wait at least for a while to confess to her.”

The redhead put her hands over her face. “Man, that’s totally fucked up.” She affirmed, her voice coming out muffled. “You and Victoria get together, then Heather kisses you and she just happens to be your friend’s crush.”

Zack grinned. “And I saw Ashley naked.”

Chloe turned to him puzzled.

“It was by accident, her door was open.” He pointed out.

Chloe shook her head. “The eight of us living in such close quarters is beginning to mess with a few heads, that’s the only excuse.”

At that moment, Victoria, Ashley and Brandon exited the cabin and Victoria walked over to their table while the other two descended the steps to the lake’s path, all three wearing bathing suits.

“Hey you two, we’re going to the lake,” Victoria said, messing with Zack’s hair. “Wanna come too?”

“I think I’ll pass, sorry.” Chloe said with a smile, her body issues surfacing.

Zack took Victoria’s hand that was on his head and kissed the back of it. “I’ll go, but I don’t wanna swim today.”

“You don’t have to, we can just hang out at the dock.” Victoria smiled.

Zack returned her smile and jumped to his feet. He turned to Chloe. “Sure you don’t want to come?” He asked. “Could be a chance to work out your issues.”

Chloe gave a small smile. “Another time, now go have fun the two of you.”

Zack nodded as Victoria waved to Chloe and they went to join Brandon and Ashley at the lake. Chloe stood there watching them leave, she really should begin to sort out her issues with her body.

”I’m missing out on all the fun they have at the lake.” She thought.

Zack and Victoria went to the lake, does something interesting happen there? Do they finally have their talk?
