Chapter 14 by fantaghiro
What's next?
the new Renee
You decided to try a test. The next time you put Sarah in a trance, you changes your post-hypnotic programming so that your trigger word would no longer switch Sarah into 'Renee mode'' But you made it so that Sarah wouldn't realize the lack of change - the trigger would just relax her.
The next day she didn't realize what you had done. She acted like Renee even though the trigger word had no effect - she acted like Renee on her own.
You needed to test further.
You waited for a weekend when Sarah had no plans, no friends to meet, no public appearances to maintain. If she stayed home, maybe the Renee mannerisms would fade. Maybe the constant performance just needed a break.
But Saturday morning, she came downstairs barefoot in an oversized hoodie, hair up in the same messy bun she’d worn in dozens of Renee’s videos. She poured cereal straight into her mouth from the box, smirked at your disapproving look, and padded into the living room to watch reality TV.
She hadn’t been under hypnosis in two weeks.

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
