Chapter 1570 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Pass the day.

Despite it being soon time to depart again, rest is vitally important, and some of those who are coming also went through over the last few days before, including yourself. You give Fava time to work on the ship as well, and you'd definitely prefer to keep your feet on land a bit in between sea-fairing adventures. Thankfully you were able to best even Elok Daven and his allies, though Thunderbeard does seem to be a threaten not taken lightly.

Laira maintains your equipment, and Luna your attire. Yin makes sure all is washed and ready to go. On top of that, Summer packs everybody delicious meals and ingredients that can last in the galley of a ship for at least a handful of days.

In the meantime, you pass by a travelling cart of supplies as you near the front gates of Castle Phoenix. The man gripping the horse's reigns seems flustered. Upon seeing you, he takes a moment to find his words.

"Ahem. Well, good day Hero King Warren," he says.

"Is all well?" you ask.

"Yes, I would say so. But just down the road, I saw something quite peculiar. I don't know how to describe this, but it seemed like a quite endowed woman sitting entirely naked upon a rocky hillside. If I didn't see it myself, I wouldn't believe it either. And I think I may have seen a tail. Are there wild-folk who live in the forests near here?"

You chuckle. "No, it isn't like that. Don't worry about it. Let me deal with that. You keep with what you're doing."

"Right then. I'll do just that. Have a good day."

You send him off with a nod before departing temporarily from Castle Phoenix, and down the road to where he may have seen her.

It doesn't take long before you spot exactly that. Past some trees, you can see the shape of Vyzia sitting in the grass, staring off towards the sky. You make your way through the underbrush, and over a few large stones, and as you go, you see her eye turn briefly back, though she relaxes once she realizes who approaches. You finally arrive, and you sit quietly down nearby to join her.

She doesn't speak for a time. Though it's still her who does so first. "This fool. He believed living creatures are cargo, as much as flour or spice. He would not only plunder, but take those alive to sell as tools to be used by other, also terrible people. I would devour them all."

"We'll take this guy down. Don't worry, Vyzia."

"I know."

"His airship crashed down right into you, right? That's how you were so badly wounded."

"Yes. And that ship contained those I lived with all that time we were stranded."

"So where did you originally come from?"

"You should know, red dragons don't often live among people. That island was just one of my resting spots. A place to relax in solitude. I don't come from anywhere, or it isn't important. Though I don't think I'd want to sleep there again."

"Those people you saved. They look up to you a lot."

"You have many who do the same."

"Say, do you know anything else about Thunderbeard? Something that could help us."

She ponders for a moment. "Not much else. I believe he's able to hardness some sort of... crackling, powerful magic, whether it's from a weapon or his body. Though he's still no dragon. Without his ship, he was nothing, and had to swim to safety. I am surprised he survived. Though if I still had my wings, I'd have taken him down already. But you've earned my respect, and my faith. You are a strong warrior, and a good lay."

"Just good?"

"Hm. The truth is more than that, but I don't think it's good to develop too much of an ego."

You stand and dust the dirt from your pants. "Well, tomorrow is the day. We'll head off then. It doesn't matter how big of a crew Thunderbeard has, we'll also be teamed up with the Silver Hunters. Get some rest. It's no good if my crew is tired."

"I will."

"Also, if you sit out in the open like this, just so you know, people are... Well, they aren't used to seeing a naked beautiful woman by the road."

"If they have the balls, they'll say something to me themselves."

"Very fair. Oh and uh, sorry about Malakae."

"She's young. Inexperienced. Foolish. I'll try to control my own emotions, but at times, gold dragons often have a superiority complex that gets on my nerves."

"You kinda get used to everyone's quirks after awhile. And they get better. I think that's called a character arc."

Next it's Vyzia who stands, though she reaches higher than you do. She cares not to brush the dirt from the backs of her legs, or her ass. "You return. I want to explore the mountains. But thank you for the conversation." She then turns a red eye back to you once more time before leaping from the edge of the hill, and sliding her way down to disappear beyond the canopy of the trees.

What do you do?
