What's next?
Week 1: Aria's Date, Part 5
Riding the elevator to the top floor, Aífe and Aria arrived at the Lily Suite. As they walked through the mahogany doors, Aria let out a whistle, much like the others who’d visited the Mistress’ suite before her.
“Shit, this place is bigger than my apartment.” She said in a voice tinged with envy. “If it weren’t for the whole needing to seduce 8 women part of the gig, I’d be begging you for a trade—they’ve got me and Aoba crashing on the floor.”
“You two are in the Sakura Suite, right?” The redhead confirmed after chuckling. “It makes sense they’d have you on a futon. I’m assuming that they at least made the floor with tatami mats?”
“What the floor is made of isn’t the issue.” Aria grumbled. “I would’ve had a hard time getting off the floor before I had these strapped to me.” She used her hands to lift her impressive chest a little.
“Oh yeah, something’s been bugging me—” Aífe said as her date’s boobs reminded her, “everyone’s memories were replaced by ones where you always looked like your vtuber avatar, mine included, right? So, how do you know that you didn’t have a chest that big before?”
“Simple.” Aria bluntly answered. “If I’d had experience with how inconvenient a body like this would be, I never would have requested the fantasy version of myself to have boobs this big. I would’ve asked for C-cups at most.”
“That’s fair.” Aífe acquiesced, looking down at her own enlarged chest. “As much as I love mine, I’m worried about what’ll happen if Cecilia keeps insulting me.” She sighed. “I’m gonna need to start working out with Erica more before I end up with a hunch.”
“You handle those things better than I’d expect for someone who’s only had boobs for a week.” The alien mused while looking at her date’s chest, mentally comparing it to her own. “Surprised you aren’t bumping into shit with them, not to mention being able to beat someone at a rhythm game.”
“Yeah, I’ve already thought about that a bit.” Aífe admitted, stretching and walking toward her room so they could each take their turn to bathe before dinner. “I’m assuming that Sera included basic equilibrium and proprioception with my TF. Probably because it’d be a lot less sexy if I was constantly sore from walking tit-first into furniture.”
“Big word, there.” Aria frowned, following her. “I’m smart enough to know that equilibrium is just balance, but would you mind explaining the other one. Dammit, woman, I’m a streamer not a doctor.”
“It’s the ability to sense your body’s position, relative to its surroundings.” Aífe explained. “As opposed to interoception, which is the ability to sense your body’s internal state, like hunger and thirst. Also, is the alien really a Trekkie?” She added with a playful smirk, catching that her date was paraphrasing Bones McCoy. She went into her bedroom with her date following shortly behind her.
“Not really.” Aria shrugged. “I happened to catch some reruns growing up.”
“You know, I think that’s the first thing I’ve actually learned about you since we got here.”
“Is it?” Aria tilted her head as she wracked her brain trying to remember what all they’d discussed in the seven days they’d been here. “Yeah, I guess so. Hate to break it to you, but I don’t think you’re missing too much, all things considered.”
“Come on, I’m sure that isn’t true.” Aífe replied in an attempt to comfort her date. “I’m sure you’ll think of something interesting to share while we wash up and have dinner.”
“Shit! Dinner!” Aria cried out, facepalming.
“What’s wrong?”
“I forgot to tell Ember what I wanted her to fix for our dinner tonight!” Aria was mentally chastising herself. The last thing she needed was for her first date with someone who held her fate in her hands to end with both of them going to bed hungry.
“It’s okay, just chill.” Aífe assured her. “There’s no way they’d just leave us with empty stomachs—I’m sure they at least keep me stocked on some ingredients. Push comes to shove, we just might have to make do with sandwiches.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right.” The blue girl sighed. “It’s a shame, though—we need to make the most of the three months that we’ll have a personal chef for. Beats the hell out of convenience store food.”
“Not to mention they probably have some pretty high quality booze.” Aífe added as she began digging through her closet for a change of clothes. “I don’t enjoy **** very much, but I know that you like a good drink. Have you checked out their selection yet?”
“No, I’ve been keepin’ dry.” Aria shook her head. “Not exactly comfortable getting drunk in this place. You never know when they might spring some other new twist on us.”
“That’s fair.” The redhead turned back to look at her date. “Do you want first go at the shower, or should I?”
“Fuck it.” Aria shrugged and joined Aífe in the closet (literal, rather than metaphorical) to get her own change of clothes from the guest section. “Might as well just go at the same time. It’s not like I’ve never showered around other women before and free points are free points. It’s big enough for two, right?” Not being one to argue with a woman ready to get in a shower with her, Aífe nodded and led her date to the bathroom. Any sexiness, unfortunately, was dulled by the complete lack of interest from the alien—simply going about bathing as if she were alone.

After their shower and a quick, slapdash meal of some sandwiches and whatever side dishes could be found in Aífe’s fridge, the two were pondering how to spend the rest of their evening together.
“You should probably apologize to Ember tomorrow.” The redhead warned. “She seems to really like cooking all of our meals, so I bet she’s upset that you didn’t ask her for anything. Elise didn’t use her services yesterday either, but she at least talked to her about it beforehand.”
“Yeah, I’ll do that.” Aria agreed. “Maybe just nudge me with your elbow when we get there so I don’t forget.”
“So, what should we do with the rest of our time together?” Aífe asked. “I’m assuming sexy stuff is still off the table. Or were my womanly wiles and my big personalities enough to sway you?” She found it difficult to keep a straight face as she joked.
“Not a chance.” The alien shot her down immediately, though her tone was light enough to make it clear she meant no offense. “Let me think… if you started at a 0, I’d say today brought you up to a… 5.”
“Out of 10, right?” Aífe’s question was met with silence. “Out of 10, right?!”
“Who knows?” Aria shrugged. “The scale is different for everybody. Some people might only need 10 points, but some might need 100. 1000 if they’re a lawyer.” She tried to keep her cards close to her chest—she didn’t want to reveal that her own estimate would probably put Aífe at only needing around 15 points to seal the deal. “Did they give you any games? We could just watch something, but I still need to get you back for earlier.” She changed the subject.
“Yeah, they did.” Aífe nodded. “I gave it a quick once-over the other night, and it looks like I’ve got the modern consoles and a handful of games for each of them. They even gave me two Switches.”
“Probably those, then.” Aria made her way back into the living room, Aífe joining her after drying her hands from cleaning up. “I’ve never been a fan of playing split-screen. We could always do Mario Party if you’ve got it.”
“Let me see…” Aífe bent down to search through the cabinet, giving a show that was wasted on the girl who’d only given her 5 points. “Yeah, I’ve got Kart and Party...ooh—they included the Legacy Collection!”
“Which game?”
“Battle Network.” Aífe held up matching cases. “Do you play?”
“Do I play?!” Aria perked up almost as much as she had when she won the grand prize earlier that day. “3 was my favorite game growing up!”
“Then why have you never played it on stream?” Aífe asked as she powered up both systems and handed one to her date.
“I just figured it wouldn’t do as well.” The shortstack admitted. “That’s why I let chat suggest most of the games I play. I figure that if I play what they tell me to, they’re more likely to actually tune in. Is there really that much of an audience for a game that’s older than two of your harem members?”
“Trust me, there’s an audience.” Aífe thought back to a particular streamer/YouTuber that had his entire channel pretty much taken over by the series for the past couple of years—to the point of getting a vtuber model of the corn cob virus from Battle Network 6. “I’ve seen channels absolutely explode after they started playing it. There’s a reason they made a Legacy Collection for it.”
“That’s wild.” Aria laughed. “I would've played it a long time ago if I knew people would watch it.”
“Cool, looks like they made sure to have completed saves for each of them.” Aífe selected the specific title that they’d be netbattling on. “3 Blue, right? Some ground rules before we start—no FoldrBak and no E-code folders. We want to have fun, not kill each other.”
“Folder… back?” Aria tilted her head, confused.
“You know, the giga chip? The one that you get for 200 bugfrags?” Aífe was looking at her like she had two heads in addition to her blue skin.
“Who has the patience to farm 200 bugfrags?”
“Okay, before we start, I just have to make sure… how far have you gotten in the game? Because I’ve hundred-percented it.” Aífe was concerned where this was going.
“I haven’t full cleared it like that, but I’ve at least beaten it.” Aria said defensively.
“Uh-huh, and how far have you gotten in the postgame? Have you beaten Serenade?” Aífe pressed.
“Serenade?”
“The King of the Undernet? Mamoru’s Navi?” Aífe’s concern was growing very quickly.
“Mamoru has a Navi?!” Seeing her date’s expression, Aria frowned. “Look, stop worrying about it. I’m sure I’ll do fine!”
To call it one-sided would be to call GutsMan an easy boss. Aífe would have felt bad if she wasn’t in shock from the other girl’s performance.
“What the fuck is your folder?” She asked, awed by how bad the things she was seeing on screen were. “This is alphabet soup! You can’t string 3 chips together, let alone 5!”
“I just did what I always do.” Aria sulked, her arms crossed. “I threw in all of the strongest chips.”
“Aria, that’s what an 8 year-old does.” Aífe put on a solemn expression. “That’s it. You helped me with my singing earlier, so it’s time to return the favor. I’m making a netbattler out of you if it kills you.”
They spent quite a while after that with Aífe giving Aria a thorough bootcamp on how to actually be good at Battle Network. Eventually, she had mercy on the alien, and they stopped for the evening to play some of the other games available to them. They moved to Aífe’s bed at around 11, and passed out around 1, with their tally across all of the games leaning in Aífe’s favor.
