Chapter 720 by Exarch-of-Sechrima Exarch-of-Sechrima

I sure am, wow

Feel the silky touch of my caresses

Nick was stunned by the sight before his eyes.

“R-Rose?” He gasped. She looked completely different, even though the only thing that changed about her had been her clothes. “What… wait, so the style you copied…”

“Hmm…” Rose inspected her new outfit. Without a mirror nearby, she couldn’t get a perfect look, but she felt something resting on her head. Reaching up, she lifted the brim of her hat and removed it, confirming that yes, it was a witch’s outfit.

That brought a sly smile to her lips.

“Oh, I see,” she purred, spinning the hat playfully. “So I’m a witch now, is that right? Well, how cute is that… it looks like I copied Morgana’s style this time!”

Nick certainly wasn’t complaining. A sexy goth was a look that suited Rose quite well.

Of course, neither of them knew that at the moment, Morgana herself wasn’t dressed up as much of a goth. But that didn’t matter to either of them.

Rose leaned in with a smile and batted her eyelashes, slipping her hat back over her head. “It definitely gives me a different air than usual… what do you think, Nick? Should I use my Method Acting transformation to copy her spellbook as well?”

“All of Morgana’s spells only work on other people, right?” Nick asked. He had only seen the aftereffects, and not the magic in action before. “And I’m the only one here,” he reminded her, in case she still wanted to go along with that idea.

Rose blinked, looking at Nick as if she hadn’t considered that aspect before.

“Hmmm… you’re right, that is a bit of a problem,” she admitted, tapping her cheek. “Hahum. Well, I suppose I wasn’t that serious about it anyway… you see, I still need to use Method Acting a different way for tonight, after all.”

“What do you mean?” Nick asked, intrigued by what Rose hinted at. Normally she was pretty easy to read, but when she wanted to be elusive, she could do so quite well.

“Well… I happen to have a bounty that needs completing,” Rose explained, bringing out her bounty sheet. “And a very narrow window for it…”

Use Method Acting to Copy a Sexual Transformation on your Night with the Master – 500 BP

Nick took a look at the bounty, surprised by how specific it was. “So you’re going to copy a sexual transformation, then?”

Rose nodded. “500 BP isn’t a lot, but it’s not nothing, either,” she pointed out, fluffing her hair. “Every little bit helps. And since Morgana’s spellbook isn’t much of a ‘sexual’ transformation, I’m going to be going with something else…”

“Just be careful,” Nick warned her. “You remember what happened last time, don’t you? Do you want your hair to get incredibly long and out of control again?”

As amusing as it was to see Rose falling all over herself with a ton of hair after spending so long protesting losing most of it, Nick was concerned about her performance in upcoming challenges and how it would be affected.

Rose tittered and shook her head. “That was an inconvenience,” she admitted. “But I’ll be more careful this time.” Then she sighed. “The problem is, I’ve been amassing so much BP, I’m not quite sure what to do with it all… hmm. I suppose I’ll have to give it some serious thought… later.”

She flashed a playful look Nick’s way and bated her eyelashes. “For now, let’s forget about the money,” she cooed, tossing her bounty sheet away. “Let’s focus on you and I… and there’s something in particular I want you to be thinking about, okay?”

Nick wasn’t sure if he liked the look in her eyes or not. With Rose, it was hard to tell sometimes. But he was game to play along.

“Whatever you say, Rose,” he agreed with a pleasant smile. “If you’ve got something in mind we can do together, I’d love to hear it.”

Rose waggled her finger from side to side and clicked her tongue. “No… this is all on you, Nick. I want you to think carefully… what sexual transformation would you like me to copy for you, hmm?” She asked.

“Huh?” Nick was caught off guard by the sudden offer, for obvious reasons. “Wait, Rose…”

“No, no waiting,” Rose said sharply, shaking her head. She narrowed her eyes and looked fiercely at him. “This is my present to you, Nick. I have to copy a sexual transformation, but beyond that, it could be anything. And since you’re being so wonderful and understanding on our date, I want you to decide what it’s going to be.”

That was definitely not something he would have expected. Rose was the kind of woman who always had a plan, well thought-out or not. After seeing that bounty, he expected she would already know what sort of transformation she planned to copy before even showing him. Picking something sexy and alluring to win him over and give him pleasure, having already plotted out exactly how to capture his attention.

But for once, she wasn’t playing games like that. Was she really just honestly offering him a chance to choose the transformation for himself?

If so…

“You really want me to make a decision?” Nick asked.

Rose nodded. “What would you like? It’s dealer’s choice.” She wiggled her eyebrows. “Unless you’re not sure what you want, of course… could it be that I’m simply so alluring that in your eyes it doesn’t even matter what transformation I copy?”

This woman! Rose was goading him so blatantly, and he couldn’t help but fall for it. He knew that she was playing games. And as much as he wanted to compliment her and tell her that yes, it really didn’t matter to him, the smug look on her face revealed just how much that would stroke her ego, and he couldn’t bring himself to do that, either.

Nick sighed and scratched his head. “Well… I’ll give it some thought, then,” he relented. “And I’ll let you know what I come up with.”

“Take your time!” Rose hummed, not at all disappointed that Nick wasn’t heaping compliments onto her. It seemed like she was already getting what she wanted.

She winked at him. “But keep in mind… you’re going to have fun with it tonight, so the sooner you make a decision, the more fun it will be.”

“You sure?” Nick asked, raising his eyebrow. “Because it sounds like it might just end up being more trouble than it’s worth.”

Rose looked at him, aghast, and puffed up her cheeks. “Oh, you!” She scoffed, swiping at him with her hand. “Playing around-! I swear…”

She shook her head and sighed, and her smile slowly returned to her face. “…Never mind all that,” she murmured, gazing adoringly at him. “There are other things we must focus on first. Now that we’re done with lunch, there’s somewhere I’d like to stop at.”

“Oh?” Nick was curious to see what Rose was aiming for. She’d planned out the craft store as well, but other than that the date had a rather loose feeling to it, unlike the more structured dates she planned out for him in the past.

So naturally he was curious what she was aiming for. And the playful, mysterious expression on her face only intrigued him further.

“Come along, mon compagnon,” she murmured, tipping the brim of her witch hat and turning down the road. “I’ve got a surprise for you that should blow you away…”

Again, the mysterious lilt of her voice gave him chills. But in a good way. Whatever surprise Rose had in store for him, it promised to be good.

Or at least, very, very amusing.

Nick was a little curious why they were heading back to the elevator. “So is my surprise in the Shopping District?” He asked his effusive date. “Or is it back in the hotel?”

“That depends,” Rose replied, confusing him even more.

“On what?”

“The time, of course,” Rose said mysteriously, raising her wrist up to her eyes like she was looking at an invisible watch. “Depending on how late we are, it will either be in the Shopping District, or back in the hotel…”

Maybe if Nick had given her words some more thought, he would have figured it out. But at the moment he was too confused by Rose’s unusually cryptic speaking, which was why he didn’t realize what was happening until they reached the elevator and saw…

“Looks like we’re late,” Rose said with a smirk. “Shopping District it is.”

Nick did a double-take.

“…Dawn?” He asked, staring in surprise at the cat girl waiting beside the elevator. She had a look of impatient anticipation that remained on her face right up until she heard his voice, which her cat ears registered first, twitching in excitement. She raised her head and her face brightened, and a beaming smile spread across her lips.

For a moment, Nick didn’t know what to say. Dawn wasn’t usually dressed up this nicely. Most of the time, her clothing was very casual and professional; things that looked nice on her, while being comfortable at the same time.

Today though, she had dressed up, something he seldom saw except for on special occasions like their date night. Her hair was down and styled with a bit of curl, and her clothes were nicer than usual, a crisp white blouse to accompany a patterned blue skirt and black tights. She was even wearing makeup, which was unusual.

And… heels. He only realized it as she approached him, because she wasn’t as short as usual. But yes, a simple glance down saw that the diminutive cat girl had added a couple inches to her stature with some casual heels. It was the first time he could remember seeing them.

Rose whistled sharply, which reminded Nick that he wasn’t alone, and that he had been checking out another woman (even if she was also someone he was sleeping with) on his date with Rose, which was one of her anger buttons.

“Oh, hello, um, hi,” Nick stammered, greeting Dawn with his best attempt at a casual smile.

“…Hello?” Dawn said. Her bright smile flickered with confusion for a second and she tilted her head to the side. Her ears drooped slightly.

There was a strange tension in the air that Nick couldn’t identify. It gave Dawn pause and made him hesitant as well, and the two stared at each other awkwardly for a second.

Rose seemed to be unfazed though. She stepped forward and pressed her fingers together, smiling playfully at the other girl.

“Look at you, dressed up so nicely!” She cooed. “And you’re wearing heels! I’ve never seen that from you before, Dawn!”

“Uh… w-well, I don’t do it very often…” Dawn responded. But while talking to Rose, she continued to shoot confused looks at Nick. “It’s easier to walk on these than a balance beam, but it feels like I’m compensating for my height too much when I’m wearing them… I’m sorry, is something the matter?” Unable to handle the awkwardness anymore, she turned and looked directly at Nick. “Do… do you not like my outfit or something?” She asked, her voice brimming with concern. She raised a hand to her head and tried to smooth out her curls. “You’ve been giving me a weird look…”

“No, not at all!” Nick said quickly. “I-I think you look amazing! I was just surprised, that’s all… I’m not used to seeing you look so… wow.”

Rose nodded in agreement.

Dawn blinked. “I… of course I would do my best for…” her voice trailed off as she processed the confusion on Nick’s face. Then she slowly turned towards Rose as realization dawned on her.

“…You didn’t tell him!?” She sputtered, her jaw dropping.

“Weeellll…” Rose turned her eyes away from the other girl’s accusing stare. “I thought it would be more fun as a surprise, so…”

“Tell me what?” Nick asked, still not getting it.

“Yes, Dawn, tell him what?” The blonde asked innocently, batting her eyelashes.

Dawn’s nostrils flared and she glared at the actress. But getting angry would just ruin all the effort she put into her appearance. So she calmed herself down and let out an exasperated sigh.

“While you were in Dream Alley with Vivian yesterday, I went to Rose and asked her if I could take part in her date night!” Dawn explained, her tail standing on end. “My transformation made me want to do another competition, and knowing Rose, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. And she actually agreed! She said that not only could I tag along when you guys go back to your room, but that I should come and join you at the end of the date, after lunch! She said that you would be expecting me to look my best, so I got all dressed up, and… arrrgh! And you’re late, too!”

Dawn wasn’t upset with Nick in the slightest, of course. She knew exactly who was responsible for his muted reaction.

And the culprit was currently trying very hard not to laugh.

“I wanted it to be a surprise!” Rose said between giggles. “Nick seeing you all dressed up, why, it would simply blow him away, don’t you agree?”

Dawn’s eye twitched. While yes, Rose was not wrong that Nick’s expression of surprise and excitement had made her quite excited in the moment, she still would have rather not caught him unawares! She’d been counting on Rose to prime him for this, not-!

…And now he looked dreadfully confused!

To Nick’s credit, he recovered from his confusion quite swiftly, and looked at Rose with more than a little bit of disapproval.

“Okay, so let me get this straight,” he sighed, rubbing his temples. “My surprise is… you invited Dawn along on our date?”

Realizing how that sounded, he quickly amended his statement. “To be clear, I’m fine with that!” He assured both girls. “I don’t have a problem with you joining us, Dawn, really, I don’t. If Rose is okay with it, then that’s fine with me!”

“I should hope so,” Dawn sniffed, crossing her arms over her chest. She still looked irritated, but one glance at her swishing tail and her twitching ears provided more than enough insight into how pleased she really was to hear that.

Nick turned to Rose. “On the other hand, I should have expected you to play a trick like this,” he said with a sigh, scratching his head. He couldn’t believe he’d gotten so self-conscious earlier about teasing her- and all this time she had an even bigger prank waiting in the wings.

“You forgive me, though, right? For tricking you both?” Rose looked at him with those big, blue eyes of hers and batted her eyelashes. “Because there’s such a strong bond of trust between us, right, mon compagnon?”

Nick rolled his eyes. Rose decided to take that as a yes.

Meanwhile, Dawn was just tired. She’d been waiting in the hot sun for a while now, and all the energy and excitement she’d had stored up for the date had dissipated in a few minutes.

Of course, there was something she was curious about.

“…Why are you dressed like Morgana?” She asked. It wasn’t at all like Rose’s usual style.

“Because I thought you would get lonely without Morgana tagging along, so this was a good substitute,” Rose lied through her teeth.

“She’s trying to win a bounty,” Nick corrected her, telling Dawn the truth. Someone needed to be honest here.

Dawn raised her eyebrow. “Oh, right… your bounty sheet, I almost forgot…” More like she hadn’t even thought of it. But now that it was brought up, Dawn remembered it perfectly.

“That’s right,” Rose confirmed. “I’ve been planning for a while, we’re going to try and clear as many items on the list as possible. And maybe even…”

She held up the bounty sheet, and pointed to a very specific line right at the bottom. It was very simple, just two words. But they made Nick’s heart skip a beat, and Dawn’s heart stop outright when she read them.

Get Pregnant – 5000 BP

“H-huh?” Nick’s face flushed and his eyes widened as he remembered the boon Rose had won from Gina’s slumber party.

“You’re not serious?!” Dawn was even more flustered than Nick, and it wouldn’t even be her baby! “You… you’re going to get pregnant!?”

“It’s an option,” Rose tittered, dismissing her sheet again. “5000 BP, there’s a lot I could do with that, you know…”

“Have… have you put any thought into this whatsoever!?” Dawn’s tail was going wild as her genius intellect spun. There were dozens of reasons for why Rose shouldn’t be doing that, but in the heat of the moment she couldn’t think of any.

“I’m insulted!” Rose huffed. “I’ve put a lot of thought into this, thank you very much!”

“Somehow I doubt that!” Dawn snapped.

“Wait, uh, listen, both of you, let’s just settle down, okay?” Nick tried to play mediator, even if he was a little stuck on what was happening himself. His chest thrummed with uncertainty and he found it hard to even look at Rose after what she’d just put on the table.

Rose didn’t back down. “I’m just making my position clear,” she said firmly. “It’s an option that’s present. And if Nick wants me to go through with it, then I have the tools available at my disposal. So keep that in mind,” she hummed, winking at him.

Nick was finding it harder to think rationally.

Dawn, on the other hand…

“…Oh, got it,” she said, calming down. A sigh of relief escaped her lips, causing Rose to look at her in concern.

“Huh? Got what, exactly?” She asked, raising her eyebrow.

“Don’t worry, Nick,” Dawn said, not even looking at the other woman. “She’s not serious, she’s just teasing you. If she was seriously planning to have your children then she would say it outright and directly to challenge me. Instead she’s saying vague stuff like ‘I have the tools available at my disposal’ and ‘it’s an option’. That means she’s not actually serious about doing it, she just wants you to think she is to yank you around by the chain.”

Rose pouted and puffed up her cheeks. “You and your stupid genius brain!” She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. “I knew it was a mistake letting you come along!”

Nick sighed, hoping his heart would start beating at a normal rate again. He’d nearly passed out when he heard Rose’s plan. But now, dealing with these two bickering, he was afraid things would only get more awkward and hard to bear from here.

Not great, no
