What's next?
Hazel reads some scripts
"Seriously, how the hell did you get Coppin to pay for all this?" Pascal asked, looking around the room. Their normal clubroom had been transformed. Hazel and Azure had gone just a little crazy, spending nearly $1000 on decorations alone. Adding in the food, and more importantly the booze, and an allowance for costumes given to each member, the total cost of the party was more than $5000. Hazel had been able to spend it without feeling any guilt, but just in case made Dr. Coppin tell her more about her financial situation. After hearing more about her life, Hazel really did feel bad.
Not about spending the money, no, that was totally fine. It just sounded rather sad. Dr. Coppin lived modestly. She had a small townhome near campus, paid off years ago, where she lived alone. She only travelled for work. Her hobbies included reading books from the library and knitting. She made good money. Very good money. But what did she spend it on? Absolutely nothing. She could retire today and live comfortably off her investments, but the woman was a workaholic and unlikely to do that.
That's why Hazel insisted she join them. The woman needed a real break after all. "She's joining us." Hazel told Pascal, the excuse she used for how she convinced Dr. Coppin.
"What? No. That's a totally bummer!" Pascal complained.
"Trust me, she's going to be a hit. Azure and I have been working on her persona. You'll love it."
Pascal was skeptical but nodded, "Well fuck it, as long as I get to try that whisky that's older than myself, fine. She can come." Part of the reason the bill for the event was so high was the ****. No more cheap stuff for them. 25 year old whisky sounded gross to Hazel, but it was expensive and therefore it went in the cart.
"Good. Now are you ready to test the hypnosis program?" She asked, getting serious.
"Ya ya. I don't know why we need to test it. I'm not actually trying to be hypnotized. I just want it to feel immersive."
"Trust me, it will," Hazel said, standing up and walking behind the computer, "Have a seat."
Pascal rolled his eyes but got up from the table and walked over to the computer chair. He shook the mouse, "So what do I do...oh. Run the program..."
"Just hit Y." Hazel explained.
Pascal did without hesitation. Hazel grinned. She'd captured another one.
"...Now we must prepare for the party," Hazel said to him. She'd already put in a few triggers to make Pascal trust her more, not question the computer, and willingly sit back here again if necessary, but now she wanted this party to be perfect, "You will lead everyone in the ritual to unlock our past lives. You will follow the script I give you and once you reach the end and say 'Begin' you will adopt the following persona for the next 12 hours;
"You are Lucius Cassian Varro. Born in the year 663 ab urbe condita, in the eternal city of Rome. You are a patrician by blood, a senator by merit, and a philosopher by inclination. Your family has held office since the days of Camillus, and your lineage is etched into marble.
"You speak with the weight of the Republic behind every word. Your vote shapes laws. Your voice is heard in the Curia Julia, where marble pillars echo with the rhetoric of great men—and your name among them.
"The provinces tremble at your letters. Even Caesar nods politely when you enter the room, though he thinks you do not notice his ambition.
"The people are beneath you—but they must be managed. The plebs demand bread and circus. You offer them order and discipline.
"Barbarians—Gauls, Iberians, Egyptians, Greeks, even worse—savage imitators of Rome’s light. Their languages are harsh, their gods uncivilized, their manners laughable. But they can be tamed, if they serve, you have dozens of slaves to serve your every whim after all.
"You are Lucius. Senator. Scholar. Civilizer. The Republic is eternal.
"You are hosting a party at your villa. You spared no expense and have brought in food and drinks from distant lands. You will enjoy yourself and not worry about anything that seems out of place. No matter what strange behavior you see, you will not attempt to remove anyone from the party or leave yourself."
Hazel finished reading the script and looked up at him, still staring blankly at the screen. Of course Pascal would pick a Roman. What was with men and their obsession with Rome? Oh well, it should make for a fun party when he treats everyone else like dirt.
She wondered if she should add anything else. She tapped her chin. Pascal was bringing his girlfriend to the party. He'd already been programmed to help get her in the chair too, but should she try and make sure he doesn't cheat? She grinned, or perhaps make sure he does?
She might have left some of her guilt behind, but she wasn't a monster. In the end she decided to leave it up to them as a couple, with a slight tweak. She decided to make sure he was present for Sabine's induction so she could see how they really felt about sleeping around, together.
"When I snap my fingers you will wake up but without remembering anything from the moment you touched the keyboard except that you thought it worked well and it would be a good idea to use this for everyone."
SNAP!
Pascal blinked. He looked up at her, "Wow, that was great. Thanks Hazel. I'll bring Sabine by later and she can try it too. I assume you've made arrangements for the others already?"
Hazel nodded, "Yep. Just let me know when you and Sabine want to come back."
She said bye to Pascal and checked her phone. There was still more than 30 minutes before she had her next appointment, it was a good time to work on her own script. She fully intended to join everyone else on the ride after all. She was just going to make sure her persona was the one in charge.
She took her notebook out of her bag and flipped to where she'd left off. She looked down at the page, there was a lot written, and crossed out, and written again. She couldn't quite read it. She knew she'd written it. She knew it was English. And yet...it was just a little fuzzy. Part of her was alarmed at this, but another part of her quickly brushed those thoughts away. She picked up a pen and touched it to the page.
She blinked and looked up at the sound of the door opening. She glanced over at her phone, had she already been writing for 30 minutes? She couldn't remember moving the pen at all. She noticed there was more written in her notebook, more crossed out too. Not that she could read any of it. She also realized her nipples were rock hard, rather visible through her tank top. She dismissed all the strange thoughts associated with the notebook and put it away, forgetting that she'd even taken it out in the first place.
"Hi Hazel," Dotty said as she reached the table, "Do you want to see my dress? I think it's going to look fabulous."
"Why don't you surprise me at the party? Are you ready to test the hypnosis? I just finished with Pascal."
"Sure, do I just sit at this desk?" She asked, pointing to the computer.
Hazel nodded. Suddenly it was like taking candy from a baby, "That's it. Do you have your script?"
"Here, it's a little long." Dotty passed what initially appeared to be a novel over to Hazel. Hazel flipped through it. "I may have gone a little overboard..."
Hazel raised an eyebrow, a little? She nodded, "That's fine. You just remember all this detail for your character, we won't read the whole thing for the induction. Let's get started."
In fact Hazel had already decided to read none of it. Dotty could keep her general idea but Hazel had some ideas of her own. Just as easily as Pascal she got Dotty to sit in the chair and activate the program. Another one down.
One by one she ticked off the party attendees, giving them all triggers to trust and obey her while ignoring the computer itself, and setting up their personas for the party. And then there was just one left. Herself.
"Are you ready Mistress?" Azure asked.
"I think so...I think I wrote a character...didn't I?" Hazel was confused. She was sure she'd worked on something, but nothing came to mind.
"Yes, here it is." Azure pulled Hazel's notebook out of her bag and opened it, "Ah. Yes. Great idea."
"Is it?" Hazel asked, "Who did I pick?"
"That's a secret." Azure said, "You don't need to worry about it."
"Oh...right..." Hazel said, her concerns vanishing just like that, "Then I'm ready. Remember you only have permission to program that script into me as a persona for 12 hours from the start of the party. Nothing else. No other 'fun' things. By the way...what fun thing did you program? I didn't have any more surprise orgasms, and I'm wearing underwear..."
"You'll figure it out soon. Trust me, you're going to love it." Azure said confidently.
"Ok. I'm ready then." Hazel sat down and activated the program.
"Like, um, are you sure it's ok for me to come?" Rosie asked nervously.
"Of course I'm sure, you trust me, don't you?" Hazel said confidently.
"Like duh, of course silly!" Rosie said in a bubbly tone, "I'm just like, well, so much older. I'd totz suck if I ruined the vibe."
"You won't. Remember you aren't going to be Dr. Coppin tonight. Oh and on that note, until Pascal tells us to adopt our persona, I need you to go back to regular old Dr. Rosalind Coppin. Cut the bimbo talk until after the party."
"Of course, if you say so. Is that why you had me dress like this?" Dr. Coppin was dressed not like a bimbo as she'd done all week, but as she would have any other day before Hazel sunk her claws into her.
"That's right pet." Hazel said.
"Pardon me, that isn't appropriate Ms. Macintosh." Dr. Coppin said crisply.
Hazel smiled, "That's better. Oh look, there's Dell. Hey Dell!"
Dell flinched when he saw Dr. Coppin standing beside Hazel, "D-Dr. Coppin, hello. So glad you are joining us..." He said rather unconvincingly.
"Thank you for having me. I shall endeavor to do my best to keep the party going as they say."
"Y-you are going to do a character too?" He asked skeptically.
"But of course. Don't worry, Hazel already brought my costume to the room. I'm not going to be a professor or anything, that wouldn't be any fun."
"Oh. Good. Well, shall we?" Dell asked.
"Yes, I'm excited. Let's go!" The three of them entered the room together, just in time for Pascal to kick off the party.
