The Rack Rematch

The Rack starts the match by leaping up and landing in a ball rolling towards Yulia. Yulia was mid-casting Undermine and leaps to the side as she finishes the cast, but it turns and slams into her still knocking her backwards. She lands on her ass with a grunt as it bounces back and unrolls, before rolling back up to attack again. Yulia tosses a grenade and uses Open to get it directly into the middle of the ball form. It explodes as it's rolling towards her and it stops rolling opening up and thrashing. Yulia stands up and casts blizzard pelting it as it writhes.

It tries to lash it's tendrils at her. She simply lets them reach her. They inject her, but Sanctity keeps her unaffected aside from the minor pinch of the needles piercing her skin. She grabs one of the tendrils. "You're the last thing standing in my way. I'm not going to waste any more time on you," she says and then uses open to channel all her offensive spells, icicle, fireball, lightning strike and **** Lance directly into it's underside. It collapses and Yulia sighs as it vanishes.

"I've beaten the Tower... After all this it's over," she sighs relieved and there's a hint of pride in her voice.

Her friends cheer from behind the barrier which has remained up. A door appears ahead of her. "Chosen... Champion of the Tower. Go forth and receive your reward," a voice speaks. Yulia looks to her friends and then swallows and approaches the door.

She finds herself in a dark room. In front of her a portal swirls. Through it she can see her world.

"You have succeeded in defeating the Tower, Chosen. From this point on your world will be saved, there is no doubt of that. There is one last choice to be made," the Tower speaks.

In front of Yulia... Yulia appears. Wearing only the mask, her scapular and completely unarmed except a small bag of goods.

"This is you as you first arrived," the Tower explains.

"The moment you entered the Tower proper, this version of you was saved in time. A version unchanged by the Tower. Without all your power, but also without all your corruption, your pain and trauma. You have a simple choice. Will you go back to your world with the cure, or will she? She will return knowing only that she was victorious. She will be a devoted healer of the church, a role you would now struggle to continue with your broken faith and she will save your world. If you send her back she will pick up your life exactly where it left off before you ever arrived at the tower and you will remain in the Tower. A denizen from now on. You will be able to stay here with all your new friends."

Yulia stares at herself and the world beyond the portal.

"If you choose to leave on your own however... You will be able to as you had previously decided bring some of your new friends with you, but you will never be able to return to the Tower, what happened to the others after your departure you may never know and you will arrive to a world that will no longer recognize you. This version of you... The one untainted by the Tower will be erased and only the new you will remain,"
