Unfortunately No

In a moment of weakness, David blurted out: "The only reason you go out of your way to piss me off is because you still have a serious thing for me and can't bring yourself to admit it." This was usually his response, knowing it would infuriate Tammy and have her stomping off in a huff.

But this time, David had the curse to contend with. Realizing what he'd just done, he looked over at Tammy in horror as her face flushed a deep crimson, frustration and desire warring on her delicate features.

She wanted to find some comeback or counter, but what David said was true, and she couldn't deny it this time. The rest of the bus ride passed in awkward silence, with David racking his brain for a way to fix the situation, or at least paper it over, hoping that Tammy's wasn't changed too much. He had an amazing girlfriend now and he didn't want to lose her because of his one loose lips.

As they approached campus, David felt a mix of relief and dread wash over him. He knew he'd have to face the consequences of what he'd just said to Tammy eventually... but for now, he had class to focus on.

Stepping off the bus, David quickly gathered his things and hurried toward his Literature building, trying to put the awkward encounter with Tammy behind him. But her flushed face and conflicted expression lingered in his mind as he rushed to make it to class on time.

David slipped into the back of the lecture hall just as the professor was starting her lesson. Breathing a sigh of relief at having made it without further incident, David took his seat and tried to focus on the material being covered... but his thoughts kept drifting back to Tammy and what he'd accidentally done to her.

As class went on, David couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to find a way to fix things with Tammy, or at least try to mitigate the damage. But how could he possibly undo what he said without making it worse? He also needed to make sure he made no more slip ups, especially when he didn't know what the consequences might be.
