Lashing out

I stop dead in my tracks, my fists clench till my knuckles go white and I see red, "Oh so you can just go out and fuck him again!?" I shout at her turning a few heads in this busy street, Quinara looks shocked at my outburst "What?" She says utterly confused, "your 'friend' you saw last night. You're going out to fuck him again aren't you?" Quinara looks stunned at my outburst "I don't know what you're talking about", I seethe how could she even try to play dumb. "DON'T LIE TO ME. I SAW YOU LAST NIGHT WITH HIM, IS THIS A FUCKING GAME TO YOU, YOU FUCK HIM WHILE CONSIGNING ME TO ONLY AN OCCASIONAL HANDJOB!!" I rage, a crowd had started to gather, I was causing a scene. I didn't care.

Quinara shifts awkwardly seeing the crowd before focusing on me again "you saw me?? Did you follow me last night?" I hear a member of our audience say an audible "oh snap", Quinara's head whips to them and they quickly fall silent. "Yeah and you know what I saw? A cheater and her elf, fucking having the time of their lives" I say scathingly drawing a few oohs from the crowd. "W-what" she stammers, just a sign of her guilt "I didn't." I shake my head "didn't what? Didn't think I'd catch you? Didn't think about my feelings, what didn't you do?" I ask accusingly. "I DIDN'T CHEAT!" Quinara says firmly, "what the fuck is wrong with you? You sneak out after I told you not to and you see two friends catch up and you jump to idea I'm cheating on you?" I step closer to her looking up at her towering form "oh so it's my fault for catching you now?" I spit, "you didn't catch anything, I never cheated on you" Quinara states. "Yeah well if that's the case, why did you go back to his and spend the night? You only came back this morning saying about what a great night you had" the crowd goes crazy clearly all buying into my side of the story. "Ugh can we talk about this when we get back, away from all these prying eyes?" Quinara asks me clearly uncomfortable with our drama being publicly aired, "no I'm not waiting for any answers" I state, Quinara nods "ok but can I at least get rid of the crowd?" I look around it was quite a large audience at this point and I couldn't say I was too happy with the spectators either, "sure".

Quinara pulls her warhammer off her back and with a large overhead swing she slams it into the ground, creating a resounding smash as it cracks the hard cobbled stones beneath us. I had never seen a crowd disperse so quickly, all running in different directions not wanting to fall victim to a large orcs wrath. "So? What's your excuse?" I ask pointedly "I was working, I took a job while we're here" she says, my rage only builds "that's the best you can come up with?" I say in disbelief at her flimsy excuse, I was personally bankrolling her she had no need to take up mercenary work. "It's the truth" she says "pfft yeah because we're so strapped for cash aren't we?" I say pointing out her flawed argument, "it's not for money runt, it's for documents. You want to go hide in the elven cities but how are we getting into the elven kingdoms without documentation? We need these to avoid any trouble" she explains. This makes me hesitate just for a second, after all I had never been south at all so she could be telling the truth here, however she could also be covering her skin Quinara was certainly smart enough to come up with a believable lie like this. "Fine prove it. Take me with you" I say firmly, "no absolutely not, it's too dangerous" she says to me.

I storm off in a huff, Quinara follows "wait I'm being serious, I want to prove it to you but I can't let you get hurt" she says pleading her case, "you must think I'm an idiot" I say dismissively. I walk all the way back, hurting she was a cheater trying to manipulate her way back into my good graces I had made up my mind. I get back into the room and Quinara follows me in, "Please Huck just listen to me" she begs, "fuck off! Don't you have some strangers dick to go ride?" I snap back at her "it isn't like that I swear on my life" I couldn't believe the gall of this woman "if that's true then prove it! Stay with me tonight" I say giving her an ultimatum, Quinara looks at me tears welling in her eyes, "I c-can't do that" my face hardens and my heart hurts, she chose her friends dick over me. "Get out" I growl, "we can talk when I get back" Quinara says, "I SAID GET OUT!" I yell at her, she obliges off to go 'work', "yeah go to work being a cheating slut" I think to myself as she leaves.

With Quinara gone I begin to sob, my face buried in my hands, my heart was broken once again and somehow this one was even worse. I didn't know how it was possible seeing as my last heartbreak got me sentenced to **** but losing Quinara hurt so much more than Elyn, maybe it was because Elyn didn't lead me on didn't give me hope for something more like Quinara did. I'm interrupted from my wallowing by a knock on the door, I get up eyes bleary from crying and answer the door. It was Royce his short stature almost making me miss him, "oh hey man, I just thought I would check in after what happened last night. See if you're doing good" he scratches his head as he sees my red eyes from crying "I see you aren't", my mind races as I look at this opportunity that has arrived. "You still have her scent right?" I ask the Ratkin, "uh yeah but I don't think that's a good idea, you probably don't want to see what she's doing" he explains "oh I do" I say firmly, gathering my things; I was going to catch this cheater in the act.
