An explanation

Noah just ignored Dante, his focus was getting answers.

“We’d been together almost two months, Jillian. Things felt good. We were on the same page. So why did you throw it all away?”

Jillian exhaled, and Noah could hear a heaviness in the sigh. “I don't think we should talk about this right now,” she said quietly, her eyes darting to Dante and back to Noah.

It was obvious she wanted to avoid having this conversation in front of an audience, but Noah didn’t care.

He shook his head. “I think I want to talk about it now.”

Dante, seemed puzzled, he released his lubed up cock and began to quietly gather up his clothes. “I should probably go,” he said just loud enough for Noah to hear.

Noah shot him a sharp look. “Not now, Dante. I just don’t want anybody else to come in here right now. This won't take long.”

Dante raised his hands in surrender. “Alright, alright. Just hurry up.”

Jillian ran her hands through her hair, her fingers trembling slightly. She inspected them afterward, giving them a sniff before making a face, like she was disgusted with the scent.

“So, it started with Fletcher—from work. I've hooked up with him a couple of times before, months before you even met me. He used to work at the bar. He's a bit of an ass, so we never dated, but we had a ton of sexual chemistry... Like from day one. Like... crazy chemistry.” She **** a brittle laugh before clearing her throat. “I think I’ve told you about him. I thought he moved or something.”

Noah’s jaw clenched. She mentioned him before, Noah didn’t know any details. “So why did he show up at Jacob’s cabin?”

“Somebody invited him?” she suggested. “He just walked into the room—you left the door unlocked, and he was with his friend, I think he said his name was David? They came upstairs looking for somebody else, or something stupid like that—” She paused, swallowed. “I freaked, ‘cause I was still half-naked. David excused himself, but Fletch ...noticed it was me, just started acting like Fletcher...”

Jillian sat up, and leaned forward, elbows on her knees. “I told him I had a boyfriend. I said your name. I tried to say I was off limits. But then he just… kept teasing me… then he kissed me. And I kissed him back.”

Noah’s jaw went slack. “You kissed him?”

“Oh shit…” Dante mumbled under his breath.

Her fingers trembled. “I did. And it felt terrible afterward. I felt sick. But then his friend was lingering by the doorway, saying things, egging us on. It already felt like something was going to happen, and I didn’t want him to freak. I tried walking it back, downplaying it. Then Fletch had his hand on my thigh. I was burning up. Before I knew what happening I was face down, ass up. His friend David or Dave or whatever… well, kind of invited himself in.”

Noah rubbed his forehead. “So you fucked two guys because you were pressured to, or you were just too turned on to stop yourself?”

Jillian let out another brittle, incongruous laugh. “No—I don’t know, both maybe?” She rubbed her palms to her eyes, as if she could scrub the memory away. “God, I mean, of course, I regret it now. Every second. But I didn’t stop it. And when David—Fletcher’s friend finished up, he stepped out room and started talking about me to the other guys that were outside. I snapped. I was SO embarrassed, so hot I wanted to burn. Then a third guy walked in, one of the college guys. Fletcher was still with me, the guy just knows what to say. So I ended up—” She shook her head, tears slipping free from the corners of her eyes. “I thought fuck it, I'm already did so much already. It was stupid. So stupid. But, I was mad you left me, and I was just so freaking horny.”
