Chapter 111 by Kougyoku

Who's at the door?

It's you

There isn't anyone standing there. Instead, laying on the ground, passed out, with two manila envelopes tied to you -- it's you. Jack.

"Oh my God." Mazl exclaims as she retracts her claws and scoops you up, carrying you into the house. The door closes as all of them take you into the shared bedroom and lay you down.

Molly checks you first. "He'z breathing. Pulse is stable."

Mazl, having held you, find it easy to pick up in other signs of problems. She sniffs all over your body. "Mamono mana. One .. two... Three..." Mazl smells your crotch. "Four. And a human. He's likely drained of energy and needs rest."

"Four monster girls? At once? No wonder he's tapped out. He probably was well beyond his limits. But yes, I agree with your prognosis. He needs us to care for him now." Aurora says

"But what's with the envelopes, bzzt?" Molly's antenna twitch nervously as she collects them."Should we open them?"

Mazl hesitates, her gaze flicking between Jack and the envelopes. “Could be a trap. Could be tracking us, or worse.”

Aurora snorts. “If they wanted to track us, they wouldn’t have left him **** on the doorstep. They’d have taken all of us.” With a decisive motion, she reaches for the first envelope and carefully unties it.

The others gather close as Aurora carefully unties the first envelope, her glowing feathers casting a soft light across the room. She pulls out a stack of papers and begins scanning the contents.

Her feathers flicker briefly, and she raises an eyebrow. “What the…?”

“What is it?” Mazl asks, leaning closer, her eyes narrowing.

Aurora turns the paper around so everyone can see. At the top, in crisp, official font, she reads:

“Jack, The Alternate World Integration Organization (AWIO) is pleased to offer you, by a board vote of 4 to 1, the position of Director of AWIO."

Aurora flips through the contract, scanning the fine print. “Looks legit. It’s not even a bad deal.” She pauses, her eyes lingering on one particular section. “They’re offering him six figures to run the organization.”

At the end of the standard employment offer is another letter.

What's the letter?
