Chapter 589
by Fantasy
What's next?
Admiration.
I was the first to come out of the bathroom, giving Noelle and Diana a moment alone for them to talk about what just happened. I came out wearing nothing but my boxers while drying my hair with a small towel. In the bedroom, I was about to start putting on some clothes when Alice knocked on the opened door.
“Love?”
“Yes?”
Alice looked me up and down and smirked. “Looking sexy, as always.”
I chuckled. “Thanks.”
“Hey, Grace just sent me a text. She’s asking us if we can delay going for breakfast for 20 minutes or so.”
“What? But I’m hungry!” Mila said from the living room.
“What happened?”
“Apparently they ran into that girl, Fernanda,” Alice said. “They’re having breakfast with her and Sarah thinks if we all suddenly show up it’ll be awkward.”
I pursed my lips and sighed. “Yeah, she has a point.”
“We can wait 20 minutes, can’t we?” Diana said, walking out of the bathroom with a towel around her body. “I don’t have a problem with it.”
“But I’m hungry…” Mila pouted.
Noelle also came out with a towel around her, but also with a huge smile on her face.
“Oh?” Alice exclaimed, smirking. “Did you guys have fun in the shower?”
Noelle giggled. “Oh, you don’t even know.”
“Diana… opened up a bit more,” I told them with a smile of my own.
“Wait, what!?” Mila came rushing from the living room and stood at the door to the bedroom with Alice.
“Wait, so Noelle really won The Diana Lottery? ” Alice asked.
“Ugh! So lucky!” Mila groaned.
“Wait, huh?” Diana and I exclaimed in unison.
“What do you mean ‘The Diana Lottery?’ Diana asked.
Alice, Mila and even Noelle all went red in the face.
“Uh… That’s… No, I didn’t mean it like that… Um…” Alice was stammering over her own words.
“Relax, I’m not mad,” Diana clarified. “Just… What the hell is The Diana Lottery?”
“We were… We were wondering…” Mila began. “If you ever opened up to the idea of, you know… fooling around with us…”
“We were wondering who’d be the first,” Noelle said, swaying in place, shyly. “We’re sorry.”
“No, it’s… fine.” Diana sighed. “I just don’t understand why you’re making such a big deal out of it.”
“B-Because! It’s… It’s like…” Alice began to explain, but stopped herself midway.
Okay, maybe it was time I stepped in. “Alice, you haven’t taken a shower yet, right? Why don’t you and Mila go together? It’ll win us some time. Noelle, go get changed before you catch a cold.”
The three girls held onto my suggestions for dear life and scattered before they had to keep explaining themselves. Diana had her clothes ready in the master bedroom alongside mine, so she stayed.
“Does it bother you?” I asked her when we were alone.
“No, no. It’s more like… They seem to put me on some sort of pedestal, and I don’t understand it. I’m nothing special, but…”
I chuckled, went up to her and put my hands on her hips, leaning in to peck her lips. “You’re very special to us. To me, you’re a woman I love. To the girls… You’re kind of like a cool, reliable older sister.”
“Hah?”
“You don’t see it? They look up to you, Diana. You’re cool, collected, mature, competent, independent… Not to mention outrageously gorgeous. They want to be like you, if at least a bit. They want your approval. Have you ever felt that? That there’s someone you admired that you wished acknowledged you.”
“...” Diana put her hands on my shoulders and pressed her forehead against mine. “Once. My bartending teacher. She was so capable, so good at everything and she had really high standards, so I practiced really hard.”
“See?”
“I’m nothing like that, though…” Diana said. “I’m just… trying to do what I can and not always succeeding.”
“We’re the same, but from where we are, you’re doing a much better job at it than us,” I told her. “You haven’t been with us long, that’s true, but you’ve already helped us a lot. And that help means a lot especially now that we’re starting another stage of our lives, you know? We admire you not because you’re somehow perfect at everything, but because you already possess qualities we wish we had.”
“...”
“And well, there’s also the fact that…” I swallowed and very gently cupped one of Diana’s boobs over her towel. “You’re probably one of the hottest women I’ve ever seen, and the girls 100% agree. They’ve come to like women, too, so of course they like you. Didn’t you notice how excited Noelle was when you kissed her? It was like she got a kiss from her favorite hot celebrity.”
“...”
“That’s how it is, but… If it makes you uncomfortable, I can talk to them.”
“N-No. No, it’s fine. I… I hadn’t realized that’s what it was.” Diana smiled, if only faintly. “I think… I think I want to live up to that. Is that conceited of me?”
“I think it’s fine.”
Diana chuckled. “I’ll try not to let it get to my head. Watch me and help me make sure it doesn’t happen, okay?”
“I will. I promise.”
“And also… I liked what we did with Noelle in the shower,” she told me as she caressed my cheek. “I’m starting to get it, so… I might want to do more with the other girls.”
“They’ll be thrilled. So will I, for that matter.”
“I love you, okay? Don’t forget that.”
“Same to you. If we can all be comfortable and make each other feel good, I’ll be happy.”
Diana nodded. “And one last thing.”
“Hm?”
“About Fernanda… Do whatever you feel is best. Befriend her, seduce her… I’m alright with anything.”
My eyes went wide. “Are you sure?”
Diana nodded again. “I am. I’ll leave it up to you.” She kissed me while caressing my jawline with her thumb. “Just make sure you treat her well, okay? Just like you treat me. Like you treat us all.”
I took a deep breath and nodded in response. “I’ll see where things go.”
Hearing her say that made me really happy, yes, but I also didn’t want to get too excited. Even then I still wasn’t sure what I should be doing.
