Neera. She wasn’t here. Instead with Arman. Her boy-toy more than a boyfriend. She toyed with people’s hearts. She still hadn’t returned and wouldn’t for another day.

Alice and Nadia had a lot to talk about. They were in Alice’s bedroom surrounded by nerdcore and Lego’s.

”Sorry… I shouldn’t have been violent — I’m a creature of habit,” Alice said.

”Fight or flight… It’s okay I understand… You really tackled me,” Nadia laughed nervously.

A creature of habit. It was relief that Alice could kick anyone’s ass for her — but not when Nadia was the target.

“I get emotional when drunk… I really am sorry,” Alice said.

”It’s okay — I accept your apology,” Nadia said — but her head still ached.

“Can we talk about Neera?” Nadia broached.

Alice sighed and looked at the floor of her bedroom. She picked up two Lego bricks.

”Neera… Sometimes she says she is into me… Like before she left for India we had sex… Incredible sex… She said she loved me… But recently she’s been with Arman saying she doesn’t know what she wants… I want her,” Alice said, tearing up.

She clicked the two Lego bricks together, “When two people fit — it’s easy, but with Neera — it always hurts…”

Nadia hugged Alice. Alice burst out in tears. She held Alice for a while, rubbing her back. When they parted Alice looked Nadia in the eyes. Alice leaned in and kissed her. Nadia’s eyes wide, shining.
