Water magic

Water magic is great for combat, but rather defensive. The forest is a little dry during summer, but this is not a problem. There is more than enough water in the air to fight the chimera. You could throw sharp Ice splitters at the monster or stay defensive behind a shield of high pressured water. You could also use your magic to manipulate air. A spell you know is the windblade. It is more complicated, but can be very effective.
