A captain and her mate three - entering the wormhole

You're still not used to your room being so tidy. The movie is already pulled up on one of the walls. You sit on your bed still thinking about what is going on downstairs.

The door closes and the movie starts playing. You're quickly enraptured by the drama on the screen.

Captain Jessica and her crew are back, the movie starts off several years after the end of the previous chapter when Jessica and Jacky, now Jacki, had adjusted their relationship. They both wear female starfleet uniforms Jessica's the regal purple of a captain and Jacki the lighter pinkish color of the first mate. The uniforms were similar to the short skirts from the early seasons of star trek. If you didn't know better you would have assumed Jacki was born a woman as she fills out the curves of the uniform quite well.

The first scene starts out with a call from far fleet HQ. They have detected a new wormhole emitting a strange radiation near Jessica's location and her crew is assigned to check it out. As they approach the site they are intercepted by representatives of the mask corporation, a break off faction of humans that preferred a more hierarchical structure than far fleet's egalitarian set up. The two factions had minor military scuffles in the past but were mostly friendly, if competitive.

Commander Aaron Longsword pops up on the communication screen. It's clear that he and Jessica have clashed in the past.

Aaron : "Ah, the good captain Jessica. What a pleasure to see such a beauty in such a boring sector. Come to watch how a competent organization investigates an anomaly?"

His calm confidence is almost enough to make one overlook his incredible arrogance.

Jessica : "The fleet's policy is to proceed together, we'd be happy accompany you as equals."

A broad smile spreads across Aaron's handsome features.

Aaron : "Of course Jessica, you're welcome on my bridge, your presence is always appreciated."

His eyes flick to Jacki.

Aaron : "And you can bring your cute new first mate along as well if you'd like, what happened to that boy you used to keep around?"

Jacki blushes but doesn't break protocol and speak out of turn.

Jessica : "Jacki is still my first mate, she's just undergone some... changes."

Aaron's grin turns almost predatory.

Aaron : "Oh, I see. All for the better in my opinion. The rest of your crew might do well to follow suit."

Jessica was just about to respond to the condescension when the scene paused and was replaced with Cerve's face.

Cerve : "Sorry to interrupt honey but your friend could use some help downstairs."

She had a victorious gleam in her eyes.

Alex : "Oh, sure, is everything alright?"

Cerve : "You'd better see for yourself."
