Get everyone home.

With a firm thud, you, Niki, and her parents land in almost the exact same location both you and Niki appeared at prior. While it's a little more taxing to maintain extra focus, you make sure to be extra cautious as to not hurt the two extra passengers. They're still getting used to everything, and your strange manner of teleportation is disorienting already. The last thing you want to do is snap their ankles or something on top of that. But you do arrive back at Althudiyu with relative ease, though Mavaia and Padrui require Niki to hold them lest they fall to their hands and knees.

Once they recover, you escort them back into their home.

They sit back on their sofa and breathe. Padrui looks up to you and speaks first. "Strange happenings aside, that was a magical time out. Thank you for thinking of us, Kyle. That was kind. We rarely leave even this city, let alone the Oraang Desert. To spend such a lovely afternoon with our daughter, well... It was wonderful."

"I wholeheartedly agree," says Mavaia. "If it's not too much trouble, feel free to visit us anytime. I'll make you a truly wonderful meal."

"Sounds great to us!" Niki slaps her hand against her belly. "Right, Kyle?"

"That's right," you warmly respond. Those muffins were great, and that was something already made, so they were likely a day or two old. "Maybe next time, I'll bring some of our friends, and we'll have a great time in Althudiyu. There's no Golden Sword again for awhile, but I'm sure there are other things to do."

"Travel safely, Kyle," Padrui says as he stands. He reaches out and gives you a firm handshake. "Our daughter may be strong, but please take good care of her. You're a good man."

"I'll do my best," you reply. "Ready to go, Niki?"

"Actually, do you mind if we just go on one more little walk before we head back?" she asks.

"Of course I don't mind." You give her parents one final nod. "Goodbye. Thanks again for coming today."

The two of you then depart from their home. Once again you find yourselves on the street. Now that the day has somewhat proceeded, there are more people present, even if it's still not even close to the times of the tournament. You both stand out though of course, even if you aren't dressed for combat. That likely makes it stranger. You don't look like adventurers, but instead people with weird fashion sense. Those used to travellers probably assume this is just how people dress in other kingdoms. They aren't completely wrong, though the inspiration for much of it comes from a land much farther than Tivera.

You and Niki walk leisurely down the winding streets of packed dirt. The sandstone buildings are lovely, and people dress in so many different colours of beautiful fabrics. After some time, you notice a small fountain with shimmering water rolling down from a fish pointed towards the sky. You follow its gaze, up from the glistening mist of the water towards a bright sun. Contrary to where you came from, there's hardly a cloud above Althudiyu. You're glad you didn't bundle up for the picnic.

With a quiet sigh, she steps up to the fountain first and stares down at a few copper coins sitting at the bottom. "Hey, Kyle. I don't know how to say this, but I feel like... I don't know. I've grown up a lot, and in a pretty short amount of time. How long have we known each other? A few months? I can't remember."

As she speaks, you step up beside her.

She continues. "It feels like it's been years already. Like, what do you think is even gonna happen next? We went from adventures to, whatever it is we are now. You went being branded as a demon to being heralded as a hero. Elok Daven is gone. What if Breiah never really shows up again? We could just kinda chill for the rest of our lives. Honestly though, I like when new strange things happen. Keeps life spicy."

"If it makes you feel assured, there's still a lot to do. We always have room to grow. There's never not gonna be weird new obstacles to face."

"That's what I like to hear."

"And I hate to say it, but I don't think I'm lucky enough for Breiah to magically vanish. She's either immortal or close to it, but something tells me she isn't at all done with us. We did kinda ruin her entire plan. But I also don't think that means we need to be defensive. An entire army of automatons, cultists, and more, were defeated. She has nothing to attack anymore. Whatever she's doing now, it's underground. Planning, manipulating. Meanwhile, we'll just be getting stronger."

"Yeah! Yeah!" Niki cheers. She slams her first forward with excitement, completely breaking the fish atop the fountain. The stone flies a distance away and lands with a thud in some dirt. Surprisingly, it didn't shatter, but the fountain now looks rather bare without anything adorning the tip.

"Hey!" a guard nearby shouts. "Stop right there!"

You raise a hand up, pleading for him to stop for a moment. You then step over and lift the stone fish up, and place it carefully back onto the fountain. "Mend," you say, and the broken ornament seals itself back on as if nothing had happened. "Sorry about that."

"... Mm. No harm done, I suppose. Be more careful."

Niki scratches the back of her head. "My bad."

You take her hand, catching her off guard. Her nose turns rosy red. "Let's head back," you say. "I'm sure the others are waiting for us by now."

"R-Right. Let's go."

Then right in front of the guard, you slip your hand past Niki's hoodie to take hold of her bare side. You squat down, and she does as well to match your movements. Then with a single, mighty leap, you leave the man perplexed by you both vanishing completely from view.
