Week 1: Elise's Date, Part 1
Aífe awoke feeling wonderfully well-rested. Damn, maybe Aoba had the right idea the other night. She thought to herself as she sat up and stretched. I slept great after having an orgasm.
“Guess it’s good that I’m in the right place for that.” Aífe muttered aloud.
“Hmm? What was that?” Mallory groggily asked in response, yawning as she sat up.
“Nothing, just thinking aloud.”
“Okay.” Mallory was still rubbing the sleep from her eyes. “I hope last night was good for you.”
“Yeah, totally!” Aífe cheerfully leaned in and kissed Mallory on the cheek. “That felt really good! And you were seriously sexy.”
“That’s good.” Mallory yawned again. “We should probably go shower. I bet we smell terrible.” With that, she got out of bed, eyes still half closed, and wobbly made her way to the door… walking straight into it.
“Okay, maybe no walking with our eyes closed.” Aífe chuckled at Mallory’s clumsiness as she got up to help lead her into the bathroom so they could shower. While they both would have liked to fool around a bit while they were washing off, a cursory glance at the clock in Aífe’s room had told them that they’d woken up a little bit late, so they didn’t have any time to spare. Now clean and fully awake, they finished getting ready and made their way down to the dining hall for breakfast.
They arrived just a couple minutes before 9, to the now familiar (for Aífe, at least) sight of a group of people staring at them. Already certain of the reason for the stares, they turned to check the scoreboard, finding that Mallory was now in an even more demanding lead than Aoba had before her.
| Mallory North | VP: 55 BP: 1700 | |
| Aoba Onimori | VP: 34 BP: 1500 | |
| Erica Andrews | VP: 19 BP: 300 | |
| Cecilia Pine | VP: 4 BP: 1140 | |
| Elise Tennyson | VP: 0 BP: 2200 | |
| Aria Astaria | VP: 0 BP: 1700 | |
| Diona Ishtar | VP: 0 BP: 1200 | |
| Natalie Crowe | VP: 0 BP: 1700 |
“Come on, girl, dish!” Diona pleaded, dashing over to glomp onto Mallory. “Did you do it? What all did you do? What were you wearing? What was she wearing? Fingers or toys? How does she ta—mmphmm!” Diona’s onslaught of questions was cut off by Natalie covering her mouth and pulling her off of Mallory, dragging the shortstack back to their seats.
"Come on, at least let 'em get some food, first!" Natalie chastised Diona, while Aífe and Mallory both grabbed plates of food. Breakfast now in hand, Mallory left to join Natalie and Diona with a small, awkward wave to Aífe. Aífe, meanwhile, made her way to her usual spot, where Erica appeared ready to grill her with her own set of questions. Before she could, however, everyone was distracted by the double doors swinging open.
“Good morning, everyone!” Sera greeted them as she entered the dining hall. “And congratulations to Mallory for being the first to reach the halfway point towards the 100 VP finish line! While I am one of the more generous Hosts in regard to doling out VP, I am still quite impressed with how quickly you’ve reached this point.”
“Um… thanks, I guess.” Mallory was trying not to explode from embarrassment.
“Oh, woe is me!” Erica melodramatically wailed as she clung to Aífe. “And here I thought you were saving yourself for our next night together!”
“Wait—we didn’t—I swear, I didn’t go all the way with her!” Mallory was panicked and blushed an even brighter shade of red. Seeing her reaction, Erica couldn’t keep up the act, and broke down into a fit of laughter.
“Chill, girl!” Erica said once she’d regained the ability to speak without cracking up. “I was messing with you! Sure, I’d be happy if Aífe waited to have her first time with me, but I’m not going to be upset if one of you sleep with her first. I’m the one who decided to take things slow to start with, and it’s not like I can call dibs.”
“Not that we even need to, apparently.” Aria yawned as she picked at her breakfast. “Looks like we can get plenty of points without actually having to go all the way. Still, though—makes me wonder exactly how much sex would be worth.”
“I’m not going to sleep with her for points, I’m going to do it because she’s my hot girlfriend and I want to sleep with her!” Erica got offended, and Aoba could be seen in the background nodding her head vigorously in agreement. Meanwhile, the girlfriend in question was hiding her face in embarrassment while Aria held up her hands in defense.
“Woah, calm down!” Aria tried to placate the angry bunny. “I’m not suggesting that anyone’ll do that. Hell, I’m saying the opposite! It’s great for you and Aoba that you just get to date someone you were already close to, but that’s not the case for some of us.” She gestured to herself, Diona, and Natalie. “Now I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’d like to not have to fuck someone I barely know. So, it’s a good thing that we can get plenty of points without putting out.” With this explanation, Erica calmed down, seeing the point Aria was making. Meanwhile, the other shortstack present was rolling her eyes, clearly having less issue with fucking people who were basically strangers. “I’m sure you and Aífe will have a magical time next week.”
“Speaking of magical times—” Sera interjected. “Lady Aífe has a date scheduled with our resident witch!” She looked expectantly at Elise. “Does our professor have a lesson plan ready? Or will today be study hall?”
“Of course, I have a plan for today.” Elise adjusted her witch hat. “We’re going—”
“To the library?” Aífe playfully finished Elise’s sentence, confident that she knew what her former teacher was going to say. “You are taking me to the library, right, Professor?”
“… Yes.” Elise confirmed with a pout. Seeing her student chuckling, she crossed her arms. “Am I really that predictable?”
“Relax, Professor.” Aífe scarfed down the last few bites of her bagel, before standing and walking over to her. “I’d love to spend the day in the library with you.” She offered her hand to Elise, who took it while still pouting. Aífe waved goodbye to the others as she and Elise walked out of the dining hall, leaving Mallory at the mercy of everyone’s questions regarding the events of the previous night.
Elise was still pouting as they strolled across the lobby.
“Come on, Professor—I meant it when I said that I’d love to spend the day reading with you.” Aífe continued her attempts to appease Elise. “Every day here so far has been something weird or crazy or stressful. A day of relaxing and reading sounds super nice right about now.”
“No, of course I know that you were being honest.” Elise sighed. “It’s just a little disheartening to find out that I’m so predictable. Have I become some sort of boring spinster in my old age?”
“Hey, predictable isn’t always a bad thing.” Aífe stopped holding Elise’s hand once they’d passed through to the library. She held back her surprise at the fact that it looked relatively normal, all things considered, since she knew there was probably more to the place than meets the eye. She lightly rubbed Elise’s back as she offered more comforting words. “Look at it this way, Professor—I could predict what you had planned because we’ve known each other for so long. We’re familiar with each other, and that’s good because it helps us to be comfortable around each other.”
“Yes, you’re right.” Elise acquiesced. “Though, I believe I told you to stop calling me ‘Professor.’ Call me by my name. This is a… well, a date, after all.” Elise blushed. While she talked a big game about the fact that Aífe wasn’t her student anymore, she still felt as if she were crossing some sort of line.
“Right, sorry, Elise.” Aífe also felt a bit weird using her professor’s given name, though for her part it was a more pleasant sense of weirdness.
“Why don’t you go pick out what you’re going to read, Aífe?” Elise said as she pointed to a love seat flanked on either side by small end tables, one of which bore a sizable stack of books. “I still have a few books that I picked out over the last couple of days.”
“Sure.” Aífe replied, wandering off to check the library’s selection. She scanned the shelves, not really finding anything that caught her eye until she eventually found a door with a sign labeled “Manga & Light Novels.” She walked in, and her eyes widened as she gazed at row after row of shelves stocked with countless series—some she’d read previously, and some she’d always wanted to read, all of them up to date with the latest volumes. She searched more fervently in this section, eager to find a series that she could spend all day reading. She eventually settled on finally sitting down to read One Piece--something she’d been meaning to do for a while, since she enjoyed the anime.
She walked back to where Elise was sitting, bearing a stack of books and a smile on her face. It was weird, though. Aífe thought to herself as she walked. I don’t remember seeing any yuri in there. I figured the library here would be nothing but sapphic stuff, but I didn’t find any. When she got back to Elise, the blonde looked up at the approaching redhead, and furrowed her brow slightly.
“Really? You’re reading comic books?” Elise tried to hide the disappointment in her voice, to little success. She didn’t think that comic books were bad, per se, but she certainly couldn’t think of a reason to choose them over real books.
“Hey. It’s manga, and yes, I figured the 1100 plus chapters of One Piece would keep me occupied for the day.” Aífe retorted. “Don’t dog on manga—the medium has some of the best stories I’ve ever read. Not to mention that the art is absolutely gorgeous.” Seeing that Elise was still somewhat unconvinced, Aífe challenged her. “Tell you what—I’ll go pick out a manga for you, and we’ll see if you can keep that attitude after reading it.”
“Sure, if you’re so confident.” Elise accepted the challenge, certain that it couldn’t possibly stand up to her real books.
Aífe confidently marched back to the manga section—she recalled seeing a particular series that she knew her professor would be a total sucker for. A few minutes later, she returned carrying a stack of six volumes of manga.
“Here you go, Elise.” Aífe said smugly. “I present to you: Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. I guarantee you’ll love it.”
“Oh?” Elise looked at the cover of the volume she was handed. She had to admit that it at least looked pretty. “You’re absolutely sure that this is the one you want me to read?”
“I’m so sure that I’ll even let you stop reading it early if you don’t like it by volume 3.” Aífe taunted.
“Very well, then.” Elise looked up at Aífe as she opened the first volume. “If you win, I’ll admit I was wrong. I’ll still probably apologize even if I win—I’m at least self-aware enough to know that I’m behaving a bit childishly. If I win, however… hmm, maybe I’ll make you write a book report.” She teased. Aífe grinned and sat down next to her.
“You’re on.” Aífe eagerly watched as Elise began reading.
