How does Vixen respond?
Nonchalantly and flirty
Velvet Vixen leans her hip against the kitchen counter, the phone cradled between her shoulder and ear, a lazy smile tugging at her lips.
“I’m fine,” she says breezily, despite her bruises, exhaustion, and the fact that most of her costume is in tatters on the floor. “This is what I signed up for, right?”
McKenna doesn’t answer immediately.
“You started a forest fire, exposed a hidden lair, uncovered a wanted geneticist, and narrowly avoided becoming plant food.”
A pause.
“Good job, Vixen.”
Kendrick perks up, grin widening.
“Mmm. Say that again, Officer.”
McKenna sighs—clearly used to this.
“Get some rest. I’ll get you a new phone next time we meet.”
“Oh, I look forward to it.”
Velvet Vixen puckers her lips and blows a kiss into the phone with dramatic flair.
Mwah!
McKenna hangs up without another word.
Kendrick tosses her phone on the couch, swaying her hips as she saunters toward the bathroom, peeling the last of the glaze-stained fabric from her skin.
“She’s totally in love with me,” she hums to herself.
She kicks off the final remains of her boot, stretches her arms with a moan of relief, and disappears behind the bathroom door, steam already starting to rise.
“Now that’s what I call escaping a sticky situation.”
The shower hisses to life.
